I haven't used it since I upgraded to dp 7. But comparing it to garageband just isn't right. I'm a happy dp user , but after using it for awhile there are things I miss, especially the routing matrix.

The bouncing issue with DP and VE pro is unfortunate but doesn't affect me at all since I don't use that feature. The more serious issue is that DP 7 does not support VE pro delay compensation, something that should be fixed in DP 8.

I'm pretty sure it also works with host automation. I use MIDI so I can easily use the learn feature with a control surface.

Thanks...That's a very useful tip. I often wish i could select multiple tracks and change inputs, sends, etc and of course plugins would be great too. In tracks view which is the easiest place for organizing,that would be very intuitive and useful for inputs, outputs, record enable, and other things...

I have to strongly disagree with you at least on the MIDI part. In my experience MIDI is significantly more intuitive, stable, and nicer to deal with on macs.

It does still work nicely. I forgot the last step. press the play button. I found the manual which can be useful.

also as an after effects and animation software user, I remember the first time I saw DP's spline icon and got all excited for a second, but then was sort of dissapointed when I tried it. having a reliable and working bezier curve representation of the MIDI data would be amazing.
