Re: Hidden takes and measure insertion/deleting
I wouldn't describe it as a bug, just a terrible oversight. You leave optional takes on spare tracks on tape, so if the MOTU guys are or have been "engineers" they would know that when you snip or splice tape it's global and you need to deal with that situation. So arranging things on a DA...

Re: Super Annoying Workflow Issue
The atrophy of QuicKeys got me looking round for options - should it just become too faulty. I found the great looking X-Keys by P.I.Engineering http://xkeys.com/products.php though a search on Motunation revealed nil topics. I've been pretty much out of the DAW loop for a long while - just playing ...

Re: Super Annoying Workflow Issue
It's been weird on Lion 10.7.5. Maybe I should've persevered more. I'll try QuicKeys on my laptop (Mavericks, just updated) but am still on Lion, and DP7 on the music computer (yea DP7 ... didn't want a bunch of guitar pedal plugins I have real ones, and I'm on MAC not PC so apart from 64 bit wasn't...

Re: Super Annoying Workflow Issue
There are certainly other apps but even with the upgrade problems, QK is one of those apps i will give up when you pry it from my cold dead mouse. From what I glean from contacting them, and reading posts on their community page, it just won't happen. Apple have made it so hard. Though maybe they c...

Re: Hidden takes and measure insertion/deleting
There seems to be some discrepancy over what happens to hidden takes when certain move/delete/insert actions are performed, and it would be nice to know exactly what the outcomes will be. I'm always unsure, if I add or cut measures to a sequence, what it's impact will be on hidden takes. Ideally, I...

Re: Unisyn: a Great MIDI Librarian for OS X
Can it really take a "shapshot" of my MIDI setup/patches that are being used with a DP project to be recalled later? Is there an advantage to puchasing this to use with DP is the heart of my question and I would welcome any and all users to chime in. Thanks, Jim Dennis Yes you can take a ...

Item Info / Save Dialogues - best way to use Documents etc
I now like this new version of Unisyn ... it's stable and powerful. But it's written as a database - there's a blank page effect - it's openness - that makes it a bit cryptic as to how you can work with it to best advantage. It puts all the organisational responsibility onto you ... The Info dialogu...

Yea ... UK support told me this was an OS9 feature that doesn't work in OSX version (but I guess MOTU just couldn't be bothered to actually let anyone know ... or get rid of the menu item and save us the head scratching ... Hmmm ) I liked that feature but it's easy enough to get around using any ext...
