Re: Weird-ass project corruption (rant)
Being able to have multiple chunks in the same project is the feature that separates DP from other DAW’s. I do theatre sound scores in which each sound cue is a different chunk and DP is incredible for that (as are VR racks). Hundreds of cues in a stage play is not unusual, and they are often thema...

Re: Mixing Board Window hold
I use mostly a consolidated window setup, but have the Mixer and Sequence windows open independently. They come to the front when you hit shift-M or shift-S. The state of the mixer window doesn't change when you do it this way. If you change a window INTO the mixer window, it follows the state of th...

Re: AAF from DP to PT, any tips?
Haven't tried an AAF export in a while. I had other problems, but you might try applying "set user timestamp from sequence" (audio menu) to the misguided soundbites before exporting. I'm thinking they may have been moved at some point, and are reverting to their original positions in space...

Re: Pro Advice Wanted - multiple Audio Interfaces in DP11
Hope DP 9.52 behaves the same re: DP's aggregate devices... I use it with a Motu896mk3HD and a Behringer X32Core, both attached to the Mac via firewire. Until now theX32Core is the master ( clock ) via firewire, my guess ? Now if I use an ext. clock on the 896, and choose the 896 as clock master in...

There is a paid GE Edition, but the free version is excellent.

Re: MOTU 896 MK3 Hybride AES/EBU - GENELEC ATMOS - ABLETON 10
Do you have the "Motu audio setup" application on your M1? Not sure if it is used with the hybrid interfaces (my 896 mk3 is older), but it allows you to choose which set of outputs is your default. It also allows you to change the sample rate, assign meters to the AES/EBU or optical output...

Re: Conductor track question
I can't say why it works that way, but can offer a workaround. When you click the marker, DP will select the area from there to the next marker, as expected. You simply can't see it if there are no other tracks. Then, in the sequence editor window, click the track name (Conductor) in the left-hand p...

Re: DP Sonic Modulator Plugin - Vanished
Sonic Modulator is one of those plugins that doesn't work on certain types of tracks.
For example; it works mono-to-stereo, but does not work stereo-to-stereo or mono-to-mono.
Were you possibly trying to use it on a stereo track? In that case, it simply doesn't show up in the plugins list.

Re: DP for blind users?
Interesting, when I was reading the thread, I was wondering , what would Stevie Wonder do? I was reminded of a short video where he asked someone to play a note while he sampled it and used it in his next take on a song. Maybe with the help of six degrees of separation, someone here knows someone w...

Re: DP for blind users?
Thanks everyone, for the feedback. I'm out of my lane here too... We worked this past week on a show at his school, using lots of wireless mics and a digital console. He can find the faders he wants among banks of 8, and the fact that they are motorized helps when bringing up scenes. So much of the ...

Re: DP for blind users?
Thanks so much for the reply. Which DAWs would be good in your estimation?
Logic comes to mind, since it is an Apple product. Pro Tools of course, and I have also read good things about Reaper. Do you have any experiences with those, pro or con?
Many thanks,

DP for blind users?
Hello everyone, I have a blind student in my theater sound crew (high school level). In our current production, we have him triggering audio cues and EFX from a MacBook Pro using Q-Lab and a stream deck controller. He's doing a great job. He also plays drums and guitar, is excited about working with...

Re: Importing DP 4.12 files to DP 11
My trusty PowerMac G5 has gone to the great beyond and I am now forced with the decision to either buy a refurbished G5 or to upgrade my studio to the latest DP version obviously getting a new Mac in the process. My question is this: Will I be able to import my DP 4.12 project files into the latest...

Thanks!
The receiving computer is Windows. There are only 1 or 2 Motu plugins though, so I will give it a try.

Will Performer Lite (Windows) open DP projects (Mac)?
Will Performer Lite on Windows open DP projects from Mac? I would like to send a couple of simple DP10/Mac projects consisting only of 1-3 audio tracks to a Performer Lite/Windows user. I don't know the exact PL version, but it's from approximately 2 years ago. My plan is to .zip the projects and up...
