Great suggestion
I was wondering about controllable delay but I think that could be done in a low footprint DAW like Reaper. I may be wrong and have not implemented it yet but the prospects are great for the right combination of gear and softwear.

Why tweaking needed
There is a good reason why presets cannot be perfect. I discovered the key to this when I tweaked my POD2 up at home ready for a gig in a very large room set up for bands. It sounded perfect at home in the cans. Then it sounded different at home through the amp so I tweaked that up to get a great so...

Sounds like routing
check your routing. You should be able to get a headphone mix and a separate mix for your main outs. These are not necessarily the same mix. The gear is designed so that you can run a number of main mixes and a number of headphone mixes. At least that is the basis of MOTUs mix routing.

No others have had this too.
I cannot recall if I had this problem but basically you have to go to this topic on Unicornation. http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9411 Go through the five pages. Then find your way to the RME site which has a firewire fix instruction page. You get the Microsoft firewire fix (along th...

Hey thanks Man of Steele
For one I am really grateful for this Windows section and glad you created it. I think it was from here that I found my way to the RME site and solved the firewire problem. The Windows fix did not solve it. I had to do the RME advised rollback of drivers to SP1 level. That done both my computers wer...

Solved
Had the same frustration. My solution was to get a big bit of cardboard to take to gigs. Now I insist on a table where there is sufficient room to put the laptop on a cooling silent fan pad side by side with the Traveler. This has three benefits, one I do not flick the phantom power switches acciden...

This is a late reply but....
That is very interesting about IRQLs. Could you explain a little more how it works sequentially? I had heard before that many devices on ACPI systems can share IRQs comfortably and without problems. I have also seen that some latency settings of graphics cards are more likely to be culpable in screw...

I was referring to a native PC and not Mc.
I was referring to a pc but some of the problems set out above seem to relate to very similar issues with these Macs running bootcamp.
Hope that helps the Intel Macs.

I had the same problem albeit not with a McAppleStrudel
I had the first problem of no recogniton and then had the second of no device found after I installed the drivers and updated them in device manager. I have fixed it and have done so many things that I am not certain what worked. I did roll back the firewire port using the patches. The first two are...

Some suggestions
1. Try the firewire driver roll back fix. There are a few posts on the net and RME has a good blow by blow description on its site.
2. Get it modded by Black Lion as they know these units inside out they may be able to get it up to scratch.
