Hi Kowboys8!
Does the UF1 follow the selected/highlighted track? Even outside the bank (due to Mackie protocol limitation)? And if so, do you have to insert the ssl plugin on every track?

Re: Just bought a Macbook Pro M2 Max 96gb RAM 2tb SSD
So is it working out for you the way you hoped? Unfortunately I’m still waiting for it to deliver… it seems it comes directly from China to the Apple reseller here in Spain since it’s a customized computer that isn’t in stock regularly 🥴 What about the website in your sig? (www.cromomusica.com) I a...

Re: SSL UF1 working in DP
Hey that’s great to hear. The big question (at least for me) is if the fader follows the track you select/click with the mouse, even if you didn’t change the bank on the unit.

What great looking studios. Madrid and Buenos Aires? Not just bi-costal, but bi-continental! Where can we hear your work Alan? Gavin Haha thanks Gavin! It all started in my living room back in 2015, so really proud of my life at the moment. I don’t know where do you live, but I’m sure you can check...

Re: Just bought a Macbook Pro M2 Max 96gb RAM 2tb SSD
Way cool. Many of us will be quite interested in how much of a performance boost you'll see on the audio side. The AV side should see a big boost. You will be able to run an additional monitor without a problem. Thanks for bringing this up, Mike. I forgot to mention that one of the biggest reasons ...

Re: Just bought a Macbook Pro M2 Max 96gb RAM 2tb SSD
Extremely nice setup. I have composed music for a YouTube mini series and hope to get to your level one day. I'm currently running an M1 Mac Mini 2020 with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB internal SSD, primarily using Logic X and Native Insruments products. So far, no real issues, but I hope to purchase a ...

Just bought a Macbook Pro M2 Max 96gb RAM 2tb SSD
Hey everyone, hope all is well! I just ordered this machine and since I have a couple of weeks before arrival I have enough time to prepare all the software and dongles needed. I'm currently using my "trusty" Macbook Air M1 2020 with just 8gb ram and 256gb ssd at my studio. I'm REALLY impr...

Ultralite AVB Input and Output naming
I bought a brand new Motu Ultralite AVB today, as an upgrade for my beloved Motu Ultralite MK 1. I use Mac OS X (Yosemite 10.10.3). I installed the latest drivers and upgraded the firmware without problems. I'm having an issue related to Inputs-Outputs naming in DP8: I don't see the description of e...

Re: AAF DP Conundrum
I do a lot of mixing and sound design on DP so I frequently need to be able to open Pro Tools sessions. I always had a lot of struggle when trying to open OMF/AAF files in DP 7.24 and DP8 (in 32bit and 64bit modes). Both importing and opening the files made DP crash at startup in most of the cases. ...

Re: Real Time Arpeggiator
Thanks, it worked! The workaround, if you're willing to use it, is to move your attacks even 1 tick before the beat, because when you move it backward, you put the attack in the zone where it always plays instantly.

I recently did a field record. I used my MBP and my Ultralite, FW powered, and even the phantom power worked ok, at least one channel. I got 1:40hs of autonomy at this setup. I didn't try the same configuration with two mics receiving 48v, but it will probably work as far. I recommend you on buying ...

That's because you NEED to preamplify mic signals. The 3-8 inputs are Line Inputs, specially for preamplified signals (keyboards, turntables, etc), and if you intend to use those as mic inputs you should add gain via software (for example, the Antares Amp Modeler do his job here: http://www.antarest...
