Re: Ultralite Mk3 Hybrid not recognized by MBP Mid 2012
I had the same reg problem with the 828 hybrid...turns out I had the regular mk3 version selected instead of the Hybrid, so thats why my serial woudnt go through. Maybe youre having the same problem? Anyway you can contact support directly once you registered, so that or calling is probably your bes...

Re: OK What the heck is going on with MOTU drivers?!!
For some reason they made the Main out 1-2 appear after the Analog outs for the 828mk3, so most software will default to analog 1-2. Annoying, but it is still clearly labled as main out 1-2 and NOT analog 7-8 like you say in all of my software, though. What DAW are you using? You might also want to ...

Re: MOTU Audio Driver 1.6.59644 Creates Analog 7-8 Problem
That doesn't really add up because default stereo output in audio setup only affects system output apps like iTunes, it has zero bearing on your track assignments in DP. you can test that by changing the default output to something like 5-6, and then seeing if it also changes in DP (I bet it won't)....

Re: MTP AVI usb: right chips, still no Windows
if i recall correctly, the computer should "see" it even if the ROM is not PC-ready. It just wont work correctly...maybe you just have a bad unit?
i don't think getting a new system will cost you $700, btw, unless you are getting multiples.

Re: Audio express and cue mix confusion
"cuemix is a mixer for the inputs only" confuses me too. trust me, i was confused when i first used it too. I guess the thing to understand is that Cuemix ONLY effects the physical inputs of the device. so if you have three inputs routed through cuemix, the master volume in cuemix will tu...

Re: Audio express and cue mix confusion
cuemix is a mixer for the inputs only. it will turn down the volume of audio that passes through it (like a mic plugged into input 1) but will not effect other audio (like something you are playing from itunes.) same is true for other motu hardware.

Re: Midiexpress XT becomes XT #2 in audiomidi setup...what t
motu's new driver fixed something that caused MIDI devices to duplicate…that's probably what got you fixed. a more recent issue...
that's definitely not the problem the OP had, tho (since this thread is from 2007 afterall)

Re: Re:
As I update MOTU's MIDI drivers, I feel this issue is being left ever-further behind. Touch wood. So far so good. Don't worry, the apprehension will go away. Until it occurrs again! hello 2007, this is 2013. im sad to say that in the 6 years that passed, motu never got round to fixing this. i guess...

set your optical ports to "None" and then back to ADAT…or the other way around if they were none already.
