Re: Spectral effects disappeared - where did they go?
Thanks. I couldn't find the processed soundbites but I had also deleted the old undo history at some point, so maybe from before. I know I had some problems with DP upgrading at one point and found that clearing the undo history can get a project that has gone weird working again. I also had to use ...

Re: Spectral effects disappeared - where did they go?
Looking back I can't see any evidence of them being deleted. If I go back in the undo history they aren't there either.
It's not like a deleted VST. It the spectral effects applied from the audio menu. I don't even know how you would delete that.

Spectral effects disappeared - where did they go?
I started working again on a song from a while ago that I didn't finish at the time.
All the spectral effects on vocals have disappeared since I last worked on it.
Is there anyway to get them back?

Re: Reconform experiment in DP
Yes a region-based approach to reconform can't deal with overlaps well. It will destroy some of the work at edges of changed regions. So those edges need to be checked. That's exactly why my script drops markers at those points. So you know where to check for potential issues. It still saves a lot o...

Re: Reconform experiment in DP
I'll hopefully get time next week to make a walkthrough video. Seeing the whole process might makes things clearer. For now a simple example is this short film. A scene in the middle was removed between draft 8 and draft 9. So part of the audio sequence will now have to be removed and the 2nd half m...

Re: Reconform experiment in DP
It basically makes it easier to deal with picture edit changes. So you can resync your audio edit to match what the picture editor changed. It shuffles the edit around to fit. Only relevant to working with video editors.

Re: Reconform experiment in DP
 If this is what I think it is, you will have scored a homerun, John. Please tell us more! The last release of my app added a compare tool that allows you to compare two picture drafts in XML (Premiere), FCPX XML (FCPX/Resolve) or EDL (Media Composer). That produces a change list file (VCL/E...

Reconform experiment in DP
I make an app that is a collection of some useful audio post production tools. Today as an experiment I decided to see if I could also get an automated reconform applied to DP from a picture edit change list. I wrote a hammerspoon script that interprets a change list produced by my timeline compare ...

Re: Multiple MIDI takes looping like with audio - how?
I could translate the project into another DAW (DP can export FCP XML which I can then convert to REAPER easily using Vordio) but I've done so much work on some songs already in DP that I'd have to mix them again from scratch. I don't actually start songs in DP much any more. My preferred DAW these ...

Re: Multiple MIDI takes looping like with audio - how?
Oh. So I wasn't going mad. I can't believe this is not possible.
I'm not really a piano player, so getting a keyboard part right in one take is really difficult and unlikely!

Multiple MIDI takes looping like with audio - how?
How do you record multiple MIDI takes while looping like happens automatically with audio recording?

Re: Convert all soundbites in project to WAV?
I might have missed something, but wouldn't the easiest way be to simply turn on automatic conversions in the preferences and let DP do it all on its own? IIRC, there's an option to convert all audio formats right there... I am a bit wary of turning that option on considering conversions are curren...

Re: Convert all soundbites in project to WAV?
Some other weird things happened after converting files. One guitar part just stopped playing altogether. Preview fine. But no signal on the track meter. Also opening the wave editor it was blank (but the peaks on soundbites still looked fine). At first I thought it had corrupted the audio file but ...

Re: Quickest way to export stems of all tracks?
Thanks. That looks useful for dry stems. Really I want to keep most of the track FX on the stems too, at least basic ones such as EQ/Compression. But I don't need send FX tracks like reverb. I mostly want to add, remove and fiddle with the structure live remixing, not redo stuff I am happy with. I t...
