DP9 - when a large project of chunks won't open
I'm posting this both as an FYI, and as a query to see if anyone else has run into this scenario: 1 - I have a large scoring project with several chunks. 2 - I've been saving off copies as each cue is completed as backup. The problem: After working on a longer cue, late in this reel, and went to clo...

Awesome - I was just about to look for a way to do this when I saw this thread topic. Thanks to both of you!

Re: DP 9.01 - Better hold off
I have had DP 9.01 stop scrolling in any window. The project still played fine, just no GUI update. I had to restart DP. It does sound like there is something much more problematic going on with your install though. My first guess, based on when I saw this, is that it is a conflict with something in...

Re: 9.01 - Proverb IR import problems
I believe it does. I did find that user imported stereo IRs only appear in stereo instances of Proverb. This isn't inconsistent with DP's general approach to only enabling plugins when there is a valid audio path all the way through. A bit confusing when coming from another DAW, but not a big deal. ...

Re: 9.01 - Proverb IR import problems
I did test with both stereo and 5.1 instances, and some stereo files do show up in the stereo instance. They will import in a 5.1 instance, but not show up, which makes sense technically of course, but doesn't make sense as Proverb is listed as supporting stereo to surround (I typically don't use st...

9.01 - Proverb IR import problems
I have a Techlink reported with this, but want to ask if anyone else has tested this (OSX or Win): IR import into ProVerb is supposed to be fixed on Win in 9.01, but isn't. Some IRs can be imported, but others can not (with no differentiation that I can find). And when they are, they simply import a...

DP9 Surround panners - can't switch from faders mode
With a surround track, or aux in this case (surround instance of Proverb), the panner has no icons to switch between joystick and faders modes, and all panners open in faders mode (ArcPanner, etc). Anyone else seeing this? I had wondered where my nice large arc panners were (that I've seen in the ma...

Re: DP 9.01 - Better hold off
Is this a Win7, 8 or 10 install? DP9.01 is running well on Win8.1 here. I've come across a few anomalies (solo mode stops working for multiple selected MIDI tracks in the MIDI editor); and crashes (DP quits to the desktop - no message, just gone) when using Window layouts, but both are easily avoide...

Re: DP vs PT
For what this might be worth, I switched to DP for MIDI, but still plan to use Nuendo for most of the audio-intensive work (nothing against DP though as I'm sure I'll do plenty of audio there as well - just no Eucon on Windows for DP would leave me without a mixing surface). I used ProTools for scor...

MIDI track solo - best approach?
I've read several threads here on solo, the manual, and tried everything, but can't find an efficient toggle approach for solo'ing a MIDI track from the Tracks window. In solo mode (with auxes, inputs, etc solo exempt), I've read I should be able to option (alt) click on the play enable button on a ...

Re: New to DP, how do I multi-bounce stems like I did in Log
I'm relatively new to DP as well so someone else might have a better suggestion, but I would setup busses/auxes for each stem and re-record those back into stem tracks. This is what I do in DP now, and is the way I've handled stems in Nuendo (even though it now has a form of batch export). Once you ...

Re: Alt key doesn't for some functions on Windows
Maybe that isn't active in DP9 now that there is a create tracks command to create multiple tracks. I'm relatively new to DP as well, so I could be missing something. Any other commands not working for you? I have several alt- commands that work here (Win 8.1 and Win 10). For what it's worth, there ...

Re: 4k TV or display with DP
Well, that's disappointing, but expected. The fonts and some graphics are way too small. MOTU really needs to rework a good bit of the GUI, at least on the PC side. Just grabbing velocity points is rather difficult on a 1080p screen. How is it on retina/Mac displays? I assume they are scaling there ...

Re: Is there a real performance improvement with VE Pro?
I run VEPro 5 both locally and on my slave systems. I'm on Windows, so I don't have a direct comparison to OSX, but I am sure this scenario is going to be similar. I can say that VEPro does in fact offload processing from pretty much any DAW's audio engine. I am running a large template in DP9 with ...

4k TV or display with DP
Is anyone running a 4k display or TV (or Ultrawide 3440x1440) with DP on Windows? I am wondering how it scales. Text is rather tiny at 1080p, but I am thinking 40" and above would probably work. A single large display seems to fit the consolidated window approach well. I could use the extra scr...
