Re: DP 6 Man. Chapter 49, Pages 623 - 630 WHAT THE @#$%
Lol. I'm not sure if I'm addressing how "music and time work". I will say that D.P. is by far my favorite MIDI editing environment. I will also say that locking the tracks and then moving them all to the right points by hand wasn't even that hard of a fix. But locking tracks is definitely ...

Re: Change Project Tempo w/o Affecting MIDI Performances?
Not used to your format here. Please excuse the double post.

I greatly appreciate the (helpful) feedback.
Sorry about the dual post. I am not used to this medium.
I just have to say that I think it's totally bull@#$% that there is not a better option for this issue. It completely ground a session to a halt and required re recording. Booooo

DP 6 Man. Chapter 49, Pages 623 - 630 WHAT THE @#$%
Can ANYONE please tell me if there's a way to change the project tempo WITHOUT affecting (slowing or speeding) MIDI data in the sequence in question.

Re: Change Project Tempo w/o Affecting MIDI Performances?
You can change a project tempo from several places depending on the situation. That's not my question. If you've recorded MIDI information at say, 156bpm but then realize that actually the tempo should be 75bpm (half) When you change the tempo the MIDI performance expands or contracts to keep in pla...

DP 6 Switch INTEL/TIGER/ No FabF. No NativeInst. HELP!!
It will be funny if you see this before I talk to you mr wurliuchi...... I am gingerly trying to step up to DP 602. Stepping up from 5.13 Using an INTEL (MBP) on 10.4.11 :D No one like me is complaining so far as I saw. If I go with the clean install (starting w/ 6 and getting to 602) I get no Fab F...

Bingo!
Quote: If you are quantizing beats within audio, you need to analyze the beats first using the Waveform Editor (unless you have set the preference to do this automatically.) If you are quantizing the soundbite containers themselves, then you need to choose the "Notes and Soundbites" option...

Okay let's be clear. Does anyone know why I cannot seem to Quantize Audio, even when I seem to have my settings all correct. I have read up, I have asked Q's but NO ONE seems to be able to tell me what's up. Yesterday I even waited around for Tech Support but they closed B4 I could get through. Mayb...

What I hope for:
As it stands, i'd like to be able to cut a bassline (say four minutes) and then do one blanket quantize that shifts the attacks into their proper slots (or as close as is reasonable) If there are glaring errors beyond that, then I would chop up the soundbite and go from there. That's the workflow I ...

Audio Means Soundbite in the context of the reply yes?
Audio Means Soundbite in the context of the reply yes?
Cause if that's the case, it didn't change anything
(What is automatically selected in the drop down menu is "notes and soundbites.")

Okay am I going @#$%&*^ nuts or do timing changes made to soundbites NOT appear (visually) in your sequence window (OR the W.F. editor) when you use the Quantization features of DP? I am new and all but for real...this is silly. The whole freakin' goal is to be able to lay down scratch bass part...

Command D!
That !@#$%&* rocks..... I didn't know the command D thing yet. I had all my little things like that mapped out in Sonar. On a Mac Book Pro, half of DP's commands don't really work and you have to re-assign them all. I feel like I am making progress now, due in large part to all ur friendly help ...

BAM!
Now at least if I click into where I want it to go, it pastes on the payhead in that register. That's more like Sonar always was. I like the other dudes I idea
about single clicking wherever I want it to paste but I have not reproduced that quite yet.
