Re: Saving and Applying Mixes to Existing Projects?

This is one of the few features that I feel like should have been considered essential to DP. The difficulty is in mismatched track names. Maybe if they threw up a dialog with matrix where you line up equivalent tracks in two columns (without changing their names), then they could make it work. Sho...

Re: 2009 Mac Pro just died. Need advice.

Well, I thought I had it working, but still, when it sleeps for a while it'll wake up with a black screen. Why is it going to sleep? Last I checked enabling sleep can mess up a lot of things. I NEVER sleep my machine. NEV-ER! Ditto- Everything except monitors run 24/7/365. Dont want to upset the ec...

Saving and Applying Mixes to Existing Projects?

Hi Everyone,
I feel like I used to know how to do this... :banghead:

I have a mix in a project and I want to apply all visible parameters in the mixer to a previously recorded project.

Best way?
Thank you,
SP

Re: Spectral Display in 9.5? Where the heck is it?

Thanks guys, ya'll got me close enough to find it. I was looking in the top and sub menus.

I found it by clicking to the menu to the right of the track name in the sequence window, (same menu to control the track size, take, etc.) half way down is View Mode and Spectrogram is in there.

Thanks!

Spectral Display in 9.5? Where the heck is it?

Hi Everyone. The Subject says it all. I can't find the feature! Searched Google, this forum, and the Guide. I am referring to this from DP.com: "Spectrogram display in the Sequence Editor — View the spectral content of each audio track, side by side with their waveforms, directly in the Sequenc...

Re: DP9 issues?

I've experienced this. As a Zero point troubleshoot- have you tried a new, empty session with zero plugs and a default click sound? If the issue disappears, this may be a starting point. If any plugs on the master with LookAhead are present (even bypassed) it can also cause this. Padank I've been h...

Re: Anyone know when DP 10 will be released?

Thanks Mike and everyone else that answered. I know it's not 100% verifiable but wanted to get an idea. I am looking at 9.12 and will now go search to see what issues abound. Funny thing; I'm testing V.9 to "fix" some issues that I am having with multiple hardware interfaces and 9.12 (as ...

Anyone know when DP 10 will be released?

Howdy, It's been around 2 years since 9 was released and based on previous versions, I am thinking 10 is due soon. Does anyone have any info? I usually skip a version and was thinking going from 8 to 9 but it would seem to make sense to wait for 10 assuming its not going to be another 16 months... T...

Well, MOTU got back with me really fast and I am in the process of sending my 8pre FW back to them for the 99$ exchange that I have read about here at MOTUNATION.

Re: Where do I send MOTU hardware for repair?

Thanks HC, I have sent them a message but I have read that they don't work on older stuff. However, if they have a recommendation, Ill post it here.

Re: How to save short, multiple MIDI ideas.

I've been playing with clippings today. It is correct to say that to save a small section of the same MIDI track that I you must: 1) create a new song or sequence in the chunks menu. 2) set the beginning and end time. 3) drag this to the clippings window At that point, as I am scrolling through idea...

How to save short, multiple MIDI ideas.

Hello, Could you give me a couple of options as to how I might save all setting within a virtual instrument (plugins too) on a single track? Such as: 1 instance of FM8 with a patch, record a short idea, add plugin, and save. Then, move to another idea on the same track with a different patch, differ...
