The replacement power supply from Apple came 2 days ago and all is well. I do have a multimeter but the PS has a very small 10 pin female connector to the male power cable for the display. I don't think my multimeter leads would have made contact with either without cutting the cable that goes to t...

Re: Trouble Syncing MOTU 8Pre with MOTU 828X

You should only have to use the one output on the 8pre.
The one on top the reads 1-8 to an optical in on the 828.
make sure your sample rates on your 828 match the 8pre and it should just show up in DP as an additional 8 ADAT inputs.

Re: Major MacPro problems after restoring internet yesterday

If all else fails you may want to set your Mac to except DHCP and reboot your modem to factory defaults and start from scratch.
If your Mac is having trouble establishing a network connection a lot of back ground processes get tied up trying to resolve the issue thus causing weird behavior.

Re: Can an 828mkII play nice with an 8m?

I didn't think the 8m would have all the DSP effects in it but it looks like it does so you might be better to use the 8m as the main and plug the 828 into it.
there maybe pros and cons ether way I'm just guessing.

Re: Can an 828mkII play nice with an 8m?

If you use the 828mkII as your main plug in your 8m to the 828 via ADAT optical DP will show you have 16 inputs.
8-16 will show as ADAT inputs.

Re: Replacement tweeter for old JBL 4410

I've dealt allot with simply speakers in FL as long as the drivers are close in spec I wouldn't worry about getting original part.
But I think your going to find you'll have to replace both sides.
