Re: New Drivers : 06/08/2010 : Installer 100802 Vn: 4.0.42

Now for the really bad news. The Windows 7 drivers are in really bad shape. I'm running Win7 64-bit, and doing some programming with the MOTU. With the 64-bit drivers, the MOTU is limited to 16-bit input/output. It can't do 24-bit....... But I can't do anything about a driver that "disables&qu...

Re: otu MIDI Express 128 or XT + Windows7x64 and Cubase x64

Yes, I get instability using the 128 sometimes when the PC hasn't been switched off at the mains. So I have got into the habit of always turning off the power supply switch when I shut down my daw. Never had a problem since. I'm hoping too that these drivers fix this problem .. but as usual there is...

Re: otu MIDI Express 128 or XT + Windows7x64 and Cubase x64

There are some new MIDI drivers up now .. haven't dared try them yet though as, apart from the power down problem, the old drivers work OK here.

Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320

Hi Ronald. Win 7 64 bit here. I use windows "Programs & Features" I think it's called .. in the control panel. It's the modern equivalent of "Add / remove programs" in XP. There is only one entry in there after installation .. "Motu bla bla" and when I select that, ...

Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320

Well, I never play with my buffer sizes (always 128 here) and I'm using a Traveler mk3 with Cubase 5 .. I did the normal steps that I follow when updating the drivers... Boot up PC with Traveler turned off Uninstall Motu Drivers (using Win7 Control Panel -> Programs and Features) Reboot PC Install n...

Re: Traveler mk3: Master Volume not working?

Today I received my brand new Traveler mk3. Set it all up as I needed it (having owned an 828 mk2 I knew my way around the menus somewhat). One adat i/o I need as adat, the other as spdif. Set it all up & plugged it in. I spent the next 18 hours playing with it .. mainly excellent .. except I co...

This is what I found inside my brand new 828 mk II a couple of years ago... http://www.btinternet.com/~tony.bywaters/images/Motu-828mkII-1.jpg http://www.btinternet.com/~tony.bywaters/images/Motu-828mkII-2.jpg .. it was working just fine so I moved the ribbon to one side, bolted it back together, an...

I noticed this page while I was searching for the link for you earlier http://www.siig.com/Drivers.aspx?pn=NN-E20012-S2 ..you're quite right .. it doesn't mention win 64 bit anywhere .. but presumably (as with the OS's shown) the drivers are supplied by windows itself ?? Also spotted this 64 bit boa...

Hi.
I've been using a Siig
http://www.siig.com/ViewProduct.aspx?pn=NN-E20012-S2
for over a year, without a single hiccup. (828 mkII & Cubase 4).
It's Pci-e, with 2 ports, 400Mbps speed & TI chipset.

Thanks for that post - I had just started to notice that my latency had increased a little (I use 128 buffer) and thanks to the links you provided I was able to get back to the previous drivers without issues. Cheers again. Hope MOTU chime in & let us know why they did that ? The new drivers see...

Hi. I presume you're using powered monitors ?? I have an 828mk11 and mackie HR824 powered monitors. I leave the 828 "up full" the whole time, and between the 828 and the mackies I have a small, high quality analogue mixer. This allows me to have complete analogue control of the volume .. a...

aaah .. interesting .. I have been hoping to find a thread like this one somewhere .. I had some odd problems with the PCI bus when building my latest PC - on a 965 board - but have been unable to find much info as to what was going on. Long story short, I have been using 2 Yamaha DSPFactory PCI car...

Hi. When I first got my 828mkII the only FW400 card that I could get hold of was a Belkin one. I asked the assistant (PC World) whether it was a TI chipset - he didn't know. I looked closely at the board, but could find nothing that said TI or Texas anything. I bought the board (£ 20 iirc) anyhow, a...
