The Microbook is a 2 outs only interface. That means you'll hear the same signal on the headphones out and the main outs. This is because a limitation of the USB bandwidth.

I'm curious about the sound quality. How does it compare to other MOTU audio interfaces and the Apogee Duet/One?

Same problem here. I have a Tech Link opened at MOTU but I'm still waiting for news. Definitely, there's a problem with the latest MacbookPro and the Ultralite Hybrid. It works fine however with an original Ultralite or Traveler.

Same problem here with an Ultralite mkIII and 2 brand new iMacs. Unfortunately, afaik, there's no possibility to disable the S/PDIF in the MOTU Audio Setup. Hope MOTU will fix that problem soon, it's a real problem.

Glad it worked! I already had that problem with DP 4.6 and repairing permissions fixed the problem. However this time, I was not so lucky until I thought about using root to authorize.

I've had the exact same problem and was finally able to install DP6 by logging as root user for the authorization.

Metric Halo Channelstrip. Although not as nice-looking as some more recent plugins, this one is still my number one. And yes, Masterworks EQ is fantastic.
