that was it ... thanks..amazingly enough I actually didnt get a busy signal at MOTU tech support
and got my answer right away .... now THAT is a freak occurence ..geting tech support on the phone

Hey all, Something strange has happened to me. I am using an 828mk3 with DP5 on a Mac G4. Now, I've been using DP for quite a few years now, and all of the suden while I am plugging away at recording some tracks, I hit stop and the tracks window doesn't show what I just did. so, here is what I'm doi...

Found some answers.. it appear it will be shipping in February , which is outstanding!!!!! . and yes apparently it is going to be $795. and even on another front... with say the traveler's and 828's MIDI capabilities .. does that mean i really don't need to use my MTP AV? I use the Traveler with DP to do most of what you mentioned, except for recording drums. While an Apogee would probably sound better, I console myself with the thought that $3000 ADC/DAC units wouldn't extract any extra detail from the audio coming out of the dated DACs in my Kurzweil.
