Re: Updating DP5.1 to 5.13

Thanks, MM. I will learn to use the new board's advanced search function. Thanks for your patience. Lots of changes in DP land with v6 and the new board! Glad to be getting back into the game. BTW, I like your avatar and I'm glad to see you're still contributing. Hope you are well and things are swe...

Updating DP5.1 to 5.13

Hello guys, I took a little hiatus from recording and DP. I am starting fresh again and just installed DP5 on my 24" iMac (first generation). Looks like the CD installed DP 5.1. I am wondering if I should download and install the DP 5.13 update ONLY or if I should download and install the incre...

Can I create DP Drum Tracks on a PC using third party plugs?

I find that I typically have about an hour a day at work where I'm daydreaming about writing and recording but cannot actually do it because I don't have any music software installed on my work PC. I was wondering if anyone can recommend third party drum software that I can load in stand alone mode ...

They seem to be addressing several long standing issues with this release. A few surprises in there like drum editor triplets...

I'm excited! But not excited enough to be a guinea pig for this release. I did that for DP5. So whose turn is it?

I just picked up a Duet. Haven't used it extensively enough to evaluate the A/D other than a quick test to make sure it's all working. But...the D/A is incredible! I heard things in my band's old recordings streaming over myspace that I had never heard before on any monitoring system. Seems crazy th...

I did some rearranging last night and lugged my MKI 88 key Rhodes from one side of the studio to the other -- a whopping 15 feet -- all by myself. Thankfully I am not injured! :D

I wonder if it's out of tune now...

ah, the joys of Rhodes ownership!

Maybe this review is nothing but a MOTU planted public relations review??? I came to this conclusion because the "spin" has not stopped for 2 days now! Can we move on??? Wow! Did we read the same review? LOL I didn't get that impression from the original post. The reviewer talks about bei...

Mojofilter - Your observations about the original review are valid. Especially in light of the reported bugs. However, you shouldn't demand objectivity from others if you are not prepared to hold yourself to the same standard. It's a bad look. Even around here. And this is one ugly-ass crowd with al...

Seems like we're discussing two separate topics: 1. Gibson's patent infringement claim for the interactive game concept itelf; and 2. Licensing of Gibson Guitars for use by Activision in Guitar Hero. These are two separate things and, from a legal standpoint, they are distinct. We don't know what th...
