Damn you and the etch-a-sketch suggestion!!! I tried it... LOL (Just kidding folks!) Weirdest thing... the burn in is gone. But I swear... for a couple of days it was there, clear as day. In the very top edge of the screen I could make out some of the menu items. I don't know what happened, but it i...

Flat Panel LCD Burn in???!!!
I have a Hyundai 17" flat panel monitor and I have recently noticed that it's suffering image burn in. I'm blown away. I thought this didn't happen any more, but when I have just a blank desktop bkgrd filling up the screen, I can part of the menu bar burned into the screen and even in the upper...

James, does it put a lot of strain on the CPU to have one kit loaded? Thanks. You know, the CPU strain is relative. I'm lucky to have just bought a Dual G5 2.3ghz. It was a refurb from Apple and it still has PCI slots so I could use my existing hardware. (I'm sure MOTU will eventually make a PCIe c...

Re: Drums, Drums, and yet more Drums in DP
DFH Superior by Toontrack has the best acoustic drum kits. not so easy to use but the sound is so real!! I just bought DFHS yesterday and I'm blown away. Of course, I'm easy to please since my previous drums were coming from an Alesis DM5. Also, with this version I didn't have to mess with rewire.....

Are you saying that you can load your own soundbites in the sample player. I think if you can not record or make your own samples then MOTU ought to advertise it as a Sample Player and be completely honest about the plugin. This is for practical purposes you can record samples. You record the real ...

These are probably old but.... What do you call a musician without a girlfriend? Homeless. How do you know a drummer's knocking at your door? The knock keeps getting faster and faster. What do you call someone who hangs around musicians? A drummer. How many drummers does it take to screw in a light ...

well, why not? if OSX is made available to PCs? Well, you could if Apple officially released OSX for PCs. However, their announced intention is to prevent OSX from running on PCs and only their Intel-based Macs. So you won't be able to run OSX on PCs... at least not with some illegal hack which wou...

Re: dp for the Pc
Are there any chances of DP coming into the PC scene. Would be really great........ R S MANI It would be great for PC users, no doubt as DP is a great program. I don't see it happening though, but you can never say "never." I'd recommend scraping some $$$ and taking the plunge and buying ...

Here's a crazy idea... bring back the LP!! Not the format, but the experience. Package the CD in a LP sized album that opens up and has color photos of the artist, lyrics... etc. Of course retailers will hate how much space it takes up, but to the consumer they will feel like they're getting somethi...
