For Windows 2000/XP, the WDM driver model must be used, and the only supported driver API is now DirectSound. good luck trying to fix this..... i have tried everything (laptop has a TI chipset on oboard , but i have also tried a belkin pcmcia firewire card and it didnt help). tried drivers disabling all processes disabling all non sound hardware devices changed pci latency settings tried different cables up...
