motu ultralite with garage band

I've tried search, but I can't find the exact answer to my question. I plan to buy the new iMac, and I need to know if the ultralite (firewire) can be used as both an audio AND MIDI interface to garage band. And, can it also function as a general audio interface for iTunes, etc. Thanks in advance fo...

cuemix resets trim settings on UltraLite

This may just be dumb pilot error, but with the latest version of cuemix, every time I try to increase the trim settings of a channel on my Ultralite it stays there for about 3 seconds, and then resets to zero. This is driving me nuts. Please help if you can. I believe I downloaded the latest cuemix...

Another relevant Ultralite Microsoft "fix"

Also check out KB904412 which fixes a problem with firewire control. It's subtle, but it helped. In particular the WDM driver seems very robust and fast. I was able to run about 50 tracks and 12 effects with 1.3 ms effective latency. Note that I also use a PCIe firewire card from SIIG that I'm very ...

Ultralite 1.1 firmware ???

I simply can't find anything substantial ...I'm probably blind. But...

What does this firmware update fix? Does it do anything new? If one installs it and it doesn't work, how can one remove it and go back to 1.0?

Thanks in advance.

blinking lower case m on Ultralite display ?????

When I record via my ultralite using SONAR I see a lower case letter "m" blinking approximately 2 times per second (ASIO or WDM drivers both exhibit this) in the ultralite's lower right hand LED display area. When recording with Cakewalk Project 5 I don't get any blinking letters at all. D...

Also, please note that if you are running Windows with SP2 and download MOTU's beta driver, you probably need the "fix" outlined in Microsoft's KB885222. MOTU doesn't mention this as near as I can tell, but this has been referenced elsewhere in this forum and on the RME web support site. M...

I think the 1394 chip in the Ultralite failed. I suspect the failure was initiated by a couple of power failures we had a few days before I noticed that the Ultralite wasn't completely working. Overall I really like the Ultralite. When it works it does a lot of things very well. I'm just left with t...

Be careful. As of right now, MOTU doesn't support Windows XP with SP2, although beta drivers have just been released. They are also very selective about "recommended" 1394 interface chips. My overall sense is that they are really coming from behind in terms of both time and competency in t...

beta installation instructions???

I feel dumb asking this, but is the installation process for this beta documented anywhere. I downloaded it, but am reluctant to go any further without knowing if I'm supposed to completely remove the old driver or just install the beta "over" it. Any pointers would be much appreciated. Th...
