CuemIx / PCI 424 / Monitoring / Logic and DP
I have been using DP and CueMix, and subsequently Logic and CueMix for quite some time. I was sharing my setup with a colleague, who was helping me figure out routing from CueMix into a Aviom type system and he was surprised to hear that I mute my record enabled tracks in Logic while tracking - I ex...

Currently the 2408 is configured to 3 Banks of ADAT Bank A - 8in / 8 out - Apogee Rosetta 800 Bank B - 8in from Focusrite Oco...

Should I make a "Logic"-al choice?
Just had to buy a "new-er" mac - 8core/2.8 - redid the whole studio kind of thing.... and well...I've reading all over the web - and thought I could best get an honest answer from my fellow DP users. - I've been using "DP - since, well... it was 'P' - I've been through most all the is...

Re: MOTU audio interface help - CLOCKING ISSUES >>??
Brad - thanks for the very detailed explanation - it does make sense. But what doesnt make sense is that I went into the studio tonight to do some troubleshooting - turned everything on - and boom... the issues were gone. The clicking from the DP/4 through the 24i/o -not there - and the clicking tha...

Re: MOTU audio interface help - CLOCKING ISSUES >>??
thanks Brad for the comments - i think i am still not "on board" with what you are saying - .... for S..and.g.... - I took the presonus digimax out fo the equation - leaving everything as follows: Rosetta 800 Word Clock out to 2408 MkIII Word Clock In - thats the only BNC Cable in the setu...

Re: MOTU audio interface help - CLOCKING ISSUES >>??
thanks - I really have to say that I never looked at my set-up as "chaining" the word cock - The Apogee WC OUT goes to the 2408 WC IN / (which is connected via audiowire to the PCI-424 card) that card then makes sure that the MOTU 24i/o and MOTU 308 receive the necessary WC via their "...

I wanted to have the ability ot do some editing at home - so I loaded DP5 onto my imac g5. Went on line and downloaded the 5.13 version for leopard. I was content using headphones and just the imac's audio/core audio - main output 1&2 -a s well as the standard batch of MAS plug ins that come wit...

individual monitor mixes
Sorry - I may have missed this already - but I am having the need for individual monitor mixes to my live room....my idea was to: 1. - set up an AUX channel in DP for each individual Mix that I need. 2. - Assign each mix to a sep. pair of outs on my 24i/o and then patched out to the live room. 3. I ...

Mackie Universal Control and DP5.1
I upgraded to 5.1, which of course forced me to upgrade to Tiger (*10.4.7.) and then of course a whole slew of MAS related issues - locating AU Versiosl etc. - but one thing that I noticed is the poor performance of my Mackie Universal COntrol in 5.1 // I notice that it seems to time out a mot more ...

AUTO TUNE CRAsHING
Just to throw in a few cents as well - Just upgraded to 5.1 and had the same issue with AT. Sent the crash log off to MOTU and they responded right away - advising to make sure to delete the AT MAS from your hard drive - make sure the AT AU version is a go and then the AU version should load and run...
