"Mark as invalid" undone

Thank you Grigri!

That fixed my problem nicely. DP now can see the new unit, I've checked that it's working correctly, my extreme frustration of yesterday has evaporated and I'm happy again.

I've also downloaded the Audio Unit Manager as you suggested, but haven't tried it out yet.

How to undo "Mark as invalid"?

Help! I have just installed a new audio unit. While DP was examining the new unit I foolishly hit the "Mark as Invalid" button. Now DP seems to permanently ignore that audio unit, and nothing I can think of will make it come back online again. (I suppose I could completely uninstall the un...

On the non musical side of things, it bugs me when my key commands no longer work-- only to discover that for "whatever reason" I'm running in Scandanavian or Portuguese even with all languages but English are off in System Prefs. Moving files by click-dragging with no keyboard modifyers ...

How can I automate a MIDI plugin?

I'd like to automate a parameter of a MIDI plugin (specifically, I'd like to alter the Onset parameter of the Humanize plugin to make an instrument's timing more accurate during a fast passage than when it is playing slowly). I've tried to do it as outlined in the DP5 manual (p.731), using the Inser...

SDK for MIDI plugins

Somewhere amongst all the literature I have about DP5 there is mention of the availability of an SDK (software developers kit) for writing plug ins for DP5. I have looked everywhere, but now I cannot find it. Nor any mention on MOTU's site or this forum. I would like to write a simple MIDI plug in f...

Best,

I do believe you're right. I was sure it must be there somewhere. I'll try it out and see.

Thanks Bjornin (and again to everyone else).

Thanks for the replies Frodo and Stephen.

Unfortunately I don't have ProTools or MachFive. Maybe I'll just outsource it to my trusty old tape recorder -- a bit ignominious! First I'll see if I can get the same sound by another method.

Playback at "half speed"

I have an audio track and I would like to convert it as though I had recorded it on a tape recorder and then played it back at half speed -- so the result should be an octave lower and last twice as long as the original. As an algortihm, this should be a very simple operation, much the same as doubl...

Chrispick, I've just bought DP and I'd like to download your Modulo patches and try them out. Clicking on the URL you give gets me to the Streamload site with the message "Sorry, but the document you requested was not found," and various enticements to sign up for one of their plans. Do I ...

Yes, you're right. I tried whittling down the selected tracks and, as you say, I got it right down to just the "freeze" tracks, and it still bounced OK. A far as I can work out, that's exactly the configuration I had when I started out and it wasn't working. So I must indeed have been doin...

BTD problems

Well, I think I've solved my problem. It seems to be too simple to be what's occupying everyone else, but I'll post it anyway just in case ... First, thanks to Mr_Clifford for the tip about freezing. (Is that in the manual anywhere?) Also I had success when I selected all tracks for the BTD process ...

BTD problems

I am also having no success with BTD. I'm a complete neophyte here, and have just joined the forum, so I'm probably doing something silly; I just can't figure out what. I have tried it with the demo sequence supplied with the DP5.01 disk and with a simple sequence of my own. I've tried SDII, AIFC an...
