Just finished mixing an album, 10 songs and only 2 days. Style was industrial metal with aproximately 40 tracks per song. I put all the songs in one session to save time. The band had recorded the material themselves with a home pc. Altough they recorded all drums in one session, all guitars in one ...

By Mackie Tech Support the most stable system with DXB & DP has been OS 10.3.x & DP4.5 / 4.61 but then You don‘t have Aggregate Devices which are working great here. Also I understood that DP5 is not the best way with DXB.

I‘ve been a Digital X Bus user for the last 3 months. It really made my life easier on many things but also brought in some problems too. In a nutshell: I love the DXB & DP combo. Totally. DXB has been everything I wanted it to be and has improved our sound a lot. Only using it for mixing. Defin...

Getting great results with the big brother, VTC -desk. Also like the C-1 compressor from TLA for gtrs. VTC is very warm ofcourse and the eq is musical and smooth. Like it a lot :)

Just finished mixing a song with total of 114 mono tracks, 8 auxes and 2 Mach5‘s. All audio was from an external FW disk. The mix was done OTB with a few dozen plugins in DP. The G5 was nearly on its knees but I got the song finished without problems. Only strange thing was that Mach5‘s(and some oth...

Propably irrelevant but..
Did You select a correct output to the audio track You are recording to? DP doesn‘t allow to record on a track if the output is incorrectly assigned.

You can easily double Your track count 8)

Another thing I really like about DP is that there are less limits than on some platforms.

Hi Dubaifox. I have an Apple Flat Panel right next to Mackie speakers and have no hum with the monitor on or sleeping. How ever I had problems with a poor rca-cable(from console to nearfield spkr amp) which the monitor had a strong effect. Replacing the poor cable with a "pro rca cable" re...

We have been testing Drumagog but it doesn‘t seem to be too accurate. Some hits are off by a random amount of ms on the Advanced Mode. The Simple Mode has proven to be the best choice. Drumagog is ok when the real sound is not used at the same time (snare track, aux send to an aux track with Drumago...

Hi Alpha! I hear You all the way. I‘m using the same method to quantize multitrack drums as You are and I totally agree about the issues with Smooth Audio Edits, closing gaps by hand (=crashing when selecting too many bites) and also the time it takes to do cross fades. I totally understand the ppl ...

Both of them work fine. If I had to choose only one of them, I‘d go for the PoCo. Isn‘t the X3 code exactly the same as in Finalyzer?
