So I've spent the last couple of weeks poking around a different approach to this. I bought a Yamaha digital board a year ago, & have spent that entire time trying to come up with methods to give me COMPLETE computer control over it. All it has is a little port called "To host" that is...

Now you're into the tricky territory! The pitch changes USUALLY are caused by a change in sample rate, I.E. You record all the work at 48K, the export gets set to 44.1K (CD standard), & there you have it... Just like playing a record at 33 1/3 when it's a 45... Errr something like that I heard. ...

Here's a direct quote off the MOTU tech. notes pages: Q- Why do I not have access to the Windows volume control when I use my MOTU Audio Interface? A- MOTU wave audio cannot be controlled by "Volume Control", the Windows multimedia applet associated with the volume functions of the operati...

I don't have much time at the moment. What you are missing is that you cannot control the MOTU from Windows. That's what Cuemix is for. The other thing you might try in Cubase is to right click on any of the VU meters, & choose "Input level", or whatever it says. Now, ALL of the VU met...

Cmon guys, lets not bury the carcass yet... On MTPAV parallel, It states that it absolutely HAS to have LPT1 printer port, & only wants Irq 7. Which probably means that's all it will look for. So let's think this through, Motu gonna look for hardware straight off, right? From outside, it does ca...

I find it truly amazing that only MOTU can take what is arguably one of the longest standing serial bus protocols in the world, & make it almost useless... By hooking it to a computer no less! MIDI has been around over 30 years now, virtually unchanged from the day it started. Yeah, we all know ...

You've probably already done this, but it sounds like you have plenty of clock sources to carry the load, I would take each of those out of the system one at a time to see if problem follows... And yes boys & girls, I would start with the MTP first. I've seen that box do some odd things, & I...

One quick follow up.... First, don't enable every input & output you can get your fingers on all at once in Cubase, or any other for that matter. Each live I/O point consumes bandwidth/memory/processor time, & for all we know, phone calls home to Bill in the background! (You laugh? Go read e...

A couple of days ago, I posted a rather long winded reply to someone with a similar question in this forum... It was titled something like "How to record into Behrenger 3216", or something like that. I'll expound on that here to focus on Cubase: First thing to do when you fire up Cubase, g...

Hi, I have one of these that I use to connect 3 drum modules, 2 computers, 2 digital mixers, & 2 outboard effects boxes together... To say it will route is an understatement. It is far more effective if you have a Mac to hook it to though. I'm not sure if this is a MOTU term, or MIDI industry, b...

I'm not real clear on what you're asking, but I might have some tips... I am running a Yamaha 02R digital board with 2 adat cards, & 1 analog I/O card. I think this is a similar scenario to what Behrenger does, I.E. "Buy our really expensive board with a lot of inputs, & then we'll be h...

Seems like I remember reading in the manual that there was something unique to Sonar, but I can't remember at the moment. Here's a couple of things to watch out for in Cuemix: First, if you do not have "analog" set to one of the three banks, then it will automatically mirror one of them. W...

It's probably wrth noting also that Cuemix is not used/required if using within your sequencer/multitrack program... In Windows anyway. Did someone say Ebay? Gotta run, cya.

Easy question-MPTAV parallel..And a little mystery challenge

So a while back, I had one of those Ebay binge things... Do you know what I mean? Simple question: Is it possible to use modifiers in the latest windows/clockworks driver for the parallel unit? I'm wondering if maybe I'm supposed to install the older console driver first, THEN install clockworks? I ...

I am running an ABIT board with the Nforce stuff, & AMD FX-55 brain. None of the above problems, just REALLY noisey operation if I use one of the SATA drives... Just like if the buffers were set too low. Upping them to their max doesn't help, but using IDE drive works fine. The clicks & pops...
