Thanks for the help. I've tried disabling the pre-fill buffers, but about an hour later, it froze again. The buffer is set at 256 because I use VI's and can't afford the high latency. The media drives are internal 7200 rpm SATA 2. I'm going to try more RAM and see if it helps. I wonder if there is a...

DP keeps freezing up. Please help.
I keep getting the spinning pizza of eternal death while mixing and editing in DP. It happens quite often when I'm doing something that seems pretty benign, like jumping the playhead back and hitting play. Or just nudging a MIDI note. It's strange. I've had crashes and freezes in the past, but it se...

kawai mp9500
I've been very happy with my kawai mp9500. If you truly want a "piano" action, this is hard to beat since it is essentially the key bed of an actual kawai grand piano, lifted out and placed in a digital stage piano. Other "weighted" actions just don't feel the same after you've p...

key follow with machfive2
Is there an easy way to get the filters in machfive to modulate precisely with the MIDI keys? In Nanosampler, this is so easy. Set key follow to 100%, and it works perfectly. But in machfive, you assign key follow as a modulation source for the filter, and it defaults to 100, but doesn't track the k...

I emailed them and asked for a refund of my WUP. I never got a response. I emailed them again and suggested that perhaps they could just prorate the refund, so I wouldn't even get a full refund, but just a portion to account for the remaining time on my wup (even though the entire thing was useless ...

waves reverb on intel mac cutting out, workarounds?
I'm on an intel mac running AU versions of waves plug ins. My Waves reverb plugs (IR1 and RennVerb) go mute if there is not audio running thru them. I've got a softsynth bussing to an aux channel, and when the softsynth audio stops, the reverb goes mute cutting off the tail. Does anyone have any goo...

The plug ins are definitely buggy and very sluggish compared to how they used to work on my PPC mac. In January, I heard that they were about to release an update that would make the plugs truly compatible for intel mac and DP, so I bought into the WUP. What a mistake. I've lost a lot of respect for...

They sound very similar to me. But, I decided to write down my initial impressions. It could be purely psycological, but I preferred fiddle B, and strings A. Strings A was an easier choice for me, but it might be because it was the first track I listened to and immediately fell in love with it! Of c...

WAVES IR-L make my DP 5.11 unexpectedly quit
I've read that others on this board have had success running AU versions only of Waves plug-ins on an intel mac. But everytime I try to drop in an IR-L plugin, i get a long pause and then pooof! DP unexpectedly quits. Is there something I need to do to get these plugs to run with stability on an int...

DP 4.61 running on my intel macpro
I just bought a new intel based mac, and just out of curiosity tried running my DP 4.61 on it. I downloaded universal binary updates for my motu828 and then launched dp, entered the serial # and to my amazement, it worked! This was a very simple project I loaded up and I haven't had time to see what...

lame framework is installed, but not an option from dp 4.6
I also installed from the CD. I've downloaded and installed the lame framework, but it doesn't show up as an option in dp 4.6. I guess I need that lame.bundle you mentioned? Where can I get it?
