I had the same question a few weeks ago and got a really helpful reply which solved the mystery for me - here's a link to the thread...

Re: Velocity MIDI data display in 9.13 - Unusable!!!
Thanks, that's very helpful. I'm used to the velocity stalks and points being tiny having worked with them for over 20 years but in the default Nine theme it's even worse - they are all but invisible because there is no color contrast... hence my frustration! I just wish MOTU would sort this out - i...

Re: Key command question - Graphic Editor
Well spotted! 'All Controls' was indeed the reason for the default Tab command no longer working like it used to - the OS now seems to prioritise its use within DP for text boxes and data entry etc. I hadn't noticed it before and wonder when that became the case... Yosemite, Sierra? I had also forgo...

Key command question - Graphic Editor
Just upgraded to DP 9.13 and noticing some strangeness with certain key commands... In earlier versions of DP when in the Graphic (MIDI) Editor hitting TAB would advance the selection from one note to the next note on the grid (or list) and Option-Tab would select the previous note. It was a quick w...

Velocity MIDI data display in 9.13 - Unusable!!!
Hi all I finally upgraded to DP 9.13 today but was shocked how poor the visibility was for velocity data in the MIDI Edit window - specifically Note On Velocity. This was never one of DP's strong points but now the velocity stems in the Nine Theme are practically invisible even when selected. I'm am...

Re: Shortcut for Cycling Through Consolidated Window
I use Window Sets to accomplish pretty much what you describe. I only ever use three tabs in the CW - Tracks, Sequence & MIDI - I have each tab as its own Window Set assigned to the 1, 2 & 3 keys. (below the Function keys NOT the numeric keypad!) This allows me to access whatever CW tab I ne...

Re: Track Selection in the Mixer Window
I wish DP would highlight the relevant channel strip in the Mixer window when a track or range selection is made in the TO or sequence editor. This is something Logic does very well - when selecting a track, the corresponding channel displays inverted in the mixer - and it makes finding the channel ...

Slate VCC + DP - dropout and playback glitches
Hi all I'm encountering the following problems when using Slate VCC with DP - audio dropouts on playback and a weird bursts of audio (1-3 secs) when hitting spacebar/stop - as if the audio has been stored in a buffer and needs to be cleared. Sometimes it's repeatable, sometimes it's random. It's def...

Re: FIrewire interface vs USB for small projects
For your USB audio interface, RME are indeed a good choice, but if your I/O needs are modest you simply must consider the Apogee Duet 2 - it's beautifully built and the audio quality is remarkable. It's a 2in/4out device, works brilliantly and does exactly what I need - no more, no less. It doesn't ...

Re: Star Drums?
Speaking of Star Drums... When I load an instance of SD I am presented with apparently 4+ octaves of samples - according to the keyboard display. However, they only sound up to F2 - after that the samples don't play. When clicking the Keygroups the samples assigned to the keys appear in the waveform...

Re: M5-3... uh oh...
FWIW - I also had the hanging problem with the M5v3 Installer Disc at the same stage of the process.
The disc itself seemed to have a bad scratch so I called the distributor and they mailed me a replacement which worked fine.

Re: Overloading DP7 - is this normal?
OK, I figured out Soundflower with Mach5v3 standalone. The trick is to set up an aggregate device in Audio MIDI Setup, selecting both your audio interface, in my case the Apogee, as well as Soundflower Ch1+2. Then select this aggregate device as your input to an Aux channel. MIDI is through Inter-Ap...
