Re: DP8 announced: 64 bits and available for Windows!
Could you explain what you mean by the AU spec being incomplete or VST features that AU doesn't support? I've never encountered any problems with MIDI in AU plug-ins or VI's. The AU spec does not allow for multiple MIDI ports within plugin instances. This limitation hasn't bitten me but there have ...

Thoughts about DP on Windows
Granted the loaded project was not very large and I was feeling a bit light-headed as I clicked around (!!!) but, yes the interface appeared very snappy in all respects as did the Windows version.

Thoughts about DP on Windows
Alas, I didn't because I was in such shock about all of the new developments! Haha!
My friends practically had to support me on two sides as we walked outta there!
This is all good stuff though. I'm always glad to see DP continue to evolve.
The cocoa-ized DP8 demo seemed very peppy.

DP8 announced: 64 bits and available for Windows!
Sorry - I really don't get this concern about VST on the Mac platform - at all. What is the deal? I still haven't seen one person post about any VST-only plug-in that is worth a shite. You want VST compatability = get Cubase 6. And prepare to deal with that pile of junk. C'mon guys... For me it's n...

I spoke to Dave after the DP8 demo I attended and he stated that MOTU has VST ready for the PC version and that VST support on the Mac is something they would be listening to users about.
I let him know that I'm hoping they also decide to implement it on the Mac side.

Re: Can't install Waves Kramer MPX on 10.6.7 (10.5.8 OK)
I installed MPX on 10.6.7 a few weeks ago with no issue.
Have you tried downloading the latest Waves WOLI again? Maybe you just have a corrupted download of the WOLI?

Re: DP 7.22 released
I install 7.2.1 first, then after I get that working, install 7.22. If something gets broken, I go back. If all is good, I go forward. I mean seriously, how hard is it? a bit harder than you're giving credit for, I think. the only way to safely run any two versions of DP - or any other...

Anyway, now I'm remembering to post back here that 7.22 gets a thumbs-up.
No problems here and I forgot to even post about it!

Re: Maschine & DP setup?
well I did figure out some of it... apparently the output numbers in Maschine are off by 2 plus you don't get access to outputs 1 & 2. [sigh] so if you choose ext output 3 in Maschine, it comes in on input Maschine-1 5 in DP! PLUS to get access to all 16 pads you need to output 2 Maschine pads ...

Re: Apple Has a "Back to Mac" Event Scheduled
Another bit of news today that seemed to rub against the purpose of the iPad is the announcement of the new MacBook Air. It's not entirely clear what the differences are, but there are differences. More to the point, it's not clear what the markets for the new MBA and iPad are panning out to be. Th...

Re: Apple Has a "Back to Mac" Event Scheduled
OTOH it was little-reported that Apple missed their earnings estimate today for the first time in two years... http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2010/10/20/BUQI1FUV7N.DTL&feed=rss.business That report is super inaccurate. Apple blew away the earnings estimates for their most succ...
