OK, I did a search of "global AND takes" and found a relevant thread... sorry to bother you, I had done other searches and not come up with anything pertinent...
Thanks again!

Working with takes - nevermind...
Is there a way to select a new take on all tracks (or a group of selected tracks) simultaneously?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi, I have been tracking and editing in PTLE 7.1 and mixing in DP 4.61 for most projects over the last few months. I prefer OMF transfers over AAF because the soundbites retain their proper names. To do either OMF or AAF import or export Digitranslator is required on the Protools side and DP always ...

I've had some challenges with this. As far as greyed out audio goes, DP always defaults to 16bit when opening OMFs. I have to manually reset it every time. I bet this might be what's happening for you. Another thing that I've discovered is that it works best for me if I open DP and then cancel the d...

Hey, I don't know if my experience is relevant enough to be helpful but I'm running DP 4.61 with the 002r. I've also got an Apogee AD8000 for extra ADAT i/o and a Mytek Stereo96 ADC hooked up to the sp/dif. Everything is clocked with the Mytek. I use DP for mixing after tracking and editing in PTLE....

Hey Will, Yeah, I came into buying the Digitranslator with the same mindset that you mentioned, that OMFs are a bit out-of-date and that AAfs are the way to go. Unfortunately, DP responds to both in exactly the same way (same crash scenario as my first post). The deciding factor, for now, between th...

Hey PR! Thanks for the nice welcome! I was in Asheville last week for the Tom Waits show. I had almost forgotten what a beautiful town Asheville is. We had a great time walking around before and after the show. The downtown has such a great feel to it... I bought a Digi 002 because I knew Protools a...

New guy says "Hello!" and asks for help...
Hello everyone! Pleased to make your acquaintance! I've started using DP for mixing after tracking and editing in Protools LE. I bought the Digitranslator (yeah, I know...) and am exporting my sessions as OMF's. This worked flawlessly for a whole album project and then suddenly a crash-a-thon got st...
