I agree - it is not obvious and you have to look (usually when you are in a hurry but thems the breaks) - but it will be there. But its not always clear from the index of the manual where to start. Shooshie's tips sheet which has been converted to a lookup is also a good place to do a search.

I don't know what processor speed you have - I upgraded my G4 processor from the 800mhz it came with to a Sonnet 1.4 ghz - and it performs great now (and I upped the Ram to the max 1.5ghz). Sonnet do a Dual 1.4 and 1.8 ghz and you can get the right one by checking on MacUpgrades web site which lists...

Well excuse me for daring to criticise a "pro" application when comparing it to a former "pro" application that I think was more intuitive and user friendly in most situations. The fact that you have to have a different mixer setting for each Chunk is crazy - I have one sound sou...

I have the same frustration as a former Vision user. Sort of got used to it now but if anyone knows what I'm missing ........ You would have thought the sequence editor was the place but I find trying to MIDI edit on it frustrating. Not sure why you need a sequence editor which is only useful for au...

It probably works on mine because OMS was installed under OS9 and therefore still works under Classic. Good luck.

I stand corrected - SVP just opened on my machine in Classic mode - the MIDI and audio side do not work but it is good enough for file export. I think with OMS you need to transfer the driver over, but can't say why it doesn't install on your machine. Try it without OMS.

You can't install OMS on OSX - and it won't work in Classic mode. As I said you need an OS9 machine. So I don't think you can get this to work the way you are trying.

I can still run Vision DSP on my G4 as it is dual boot - in fact I frequently do this to get my old stuff into DP. It works better if you have a Vision song which you export rather than individual sequences which is time consuming - once in DP you can always split it up or use Markers. Vision and St...

Real time is okay I guess - I don't know about Logic - presumably its not a real freeze in the same way? But DP's version seems okay when I use it - with Opcode Vision I used to record analog style into a track - at least with DP there is no lead plugging to do. I haven't tried it with more than one...

I meant that the manual could include "useful tips and shortcuts". And of course that it would be twice as fat if dual columns weren't used and the fonts were bigger and easier to read. And its not easier on my eyes going down a page and then up it again to the next column. Probably my age...

Well I think the success (and desire for tips) proves that many may not agree . Lucky you know where to look in the manual for the several things not in the index ! Pity I don't always know - hence my frustration - any others agree? A manual will always be deemed good if you always know where to loo...

Good luck - I don't think the manual is very good - and I hate each page being split into two like it is - so hard to concentrate. Obviously if not split the manual would be twice as fat - but I don't think it is logically or helpfully set out - hence the response to DP tips compiled from users.

And I use the Delta 44 PCI with DP - there are certainly drivers for the 1010 on M-Audio's website.

Its more a question of whether the 1010 works with your computer.....
