I'm pretty sure I had seen the "DXB: Connecting and Controlling a DAW (DP, included) http://www.mackie.com/products/digitalxbus/pdfs/Controlling_DAWs.pdf" However, I hadn't really studied it. Now at least I know that another MIDI hub is required at the X-Bus (talk about taking the scenic r...

Mackie Digital X Bus questions

There doesn••™t seem to be a proliferation of available information about how Motu••™s Digital Performer and Mackie••™s Digital X-Bus interact. I••™m hoping some of our fellow Unicornation / X-Bus users can shed some light on the subject. -I get the fact that the DXB can act ...

Could be. I keep my privacy settings @ medium high when I'm on any of the the forums, but it seems Unicornation is the only one I have problems with.
What would you recommend I have my security and privacy settings set at?

WHAT is the problem that I have to keep logging on...

WHAT is the problem that I have to keep logging on to this forum again and again every few minutes? Especially aggravating is when I go to post a response and the damn thing makes me log on again and I've lost what I've written.
Knowing me it's something I'm doing wrong... Duh.

IO, I had heard that the C4 didn't work at all w/ DP. I suppose the push to get the C4 to market had something to do with that. Hasn't it been out for a while now? Seems like Mackie would have written code for it by now. Hats off to you for trying to write your own. Astia, What kind of problems have...

citadelmusic, As a word or encouragement, I started out with a Apple Power Mac G4 'Gigabit Ethernet Mystic' w/ 896MB ram & DP 2.something (2.7 if memory serves). Eventually I updated and was running OS9.2 & DP3.1.1 on that machine with good success. Looking for more processor muscle, I then ...

The DXB acts as a Mackie Control with 2 extender packs. The set up of this is rather dumb though. You'll have to buy another MIDI interface to hook it up properly. How many actual MIDI ports does the DXB use to be fully implimented as a controller? I have Mackie's Firewire card installed, which is ...

DP3/Kurzweil K2600/MIDI multi-record problems

I••™m using a Mac Mirror Door (1.25 Gig dual-processor w/ 2 Gig of ram running OS 9.2 & DP 3.11) with a MOTU MTP AV USB interface connected to several MIDI devices including a Kurzweil K2600. I••™m having problems when attempting to transfer multi-track MIDI sequences from the K2600 into DP. I h...
