I agree. PT does not seem to like the presence of MSI. The problem that i am having is that every 5 minutes when PT does a automatic backup, i have to sit at my desk for 10 seconds like a dope because the save takes so long.

Has anybody heard of this problem or know how to fix it?

Are you sure that you meet all of the system requirements for MSI? I have been having a similar problem with PT 7. MSI works fine, but every time that PT does its automatic backup, it takes about 10 seconds to complete the save. Meanwhile I am sitting at my desk like a dope while my client is asking...
