Hello Monkeyman!

I would say that we could pass as relatives due to our Avatars; but as names........well, we would have to climb the Darwinian tree a bit!

Hummong 828 MkII

The thing is, the unit does this when it is not attached to anything. I mean it is just the unit, naked, out of the box. My concern is if the unit will burn itself out. Do ther MOTU's do this. My Ultralite does not when I plug it into the same plug. I knew I should have bought an M-audio ( only joki...

828 MkII Humming!

Hello,

Have bought an 828 MkII recently. The thing is, it is humming. Do the 828 MkII have a reputation for humming?
It isn't doing it loudly, but it is a hum nevertheless.

Pro Tools V DP

My only concern is if I have done a piece of work and wanted to share it with someone who has Pro Tools. Since I continually hear how Pro Tools is the industry standard I sometimes feel that I may be learning "the wrong thing" (by the "industry's" viewpoint!). That reminds me of ...

In total agreement

I could not agree with you more!
There is never a day that goes by that there isn't a commercial on T.V. here in the UK promoting cat food as "NEW AND IMPROVED".
Does that mean I have been feeding my cat "OLD AND INFERIOR" for years?

The Reply

Hi there. I have heard that Pro Tools is "The Industry Standard". I have heard this said about Logic Pro, Pro Tools, DP....... I have seen a few sound engineers using pro tools when I have recorded voice over work. Some say that pro tools is THE audio recording software, others say that yo...

A Noob asks a question only a Noob could possibly ask.

Hello, I am using a MOTU Ultralite with DP 5 and enjoying every minute of it! I have a question. I was wondering how different DP 5 is from Protools in the field of editing audio. I am very interested in the field of Voice Over work and the field of Dialogue in the Film industry. I am very intereste...

A smiley?

Could this be some sort of esoteric smiley by MOTU? It is either that or some sort of Cuneiform. I think it says " Don't use pirate software or your inputs will fall off!"

Selling Motu Ultralite

Hello all,

I am selling my Motu Ultralite. I have registered it with motu and I want to know if it is possible for the ownership details to be transferred to the new owner or if this is not possible.
