I think it's something they really need to work on I've just switched my 828 for the new RME fireface 400 because of the lack of support.
I still have my Ultralite so I've not fully givenup on them yet.

I swapped the USB version out with the shops firewire version while they ordered a replacement for me but weeks later they still cannot get hold of one so I've decided to swap to the RME Fireface 400 because I' pretty fed up with the hassles of Motu. I've had the card for 4 weeks now and not managed to do any work with it and I'm still waiting for the shop to get the firewire version in so I can swap it out. It's been a real pain because I'm only in the UK for 8 weeks so I'm only going to get a couple of weeks of work out of it. When I get back ...

The support is very poor. I tired to ring when I was in the US but I always got the busy tone and via email all you get is the same email everytime. They sent out an email about the Motu 828 MKII USB and talked about the firewire chipset!!! It's such a shame because when the products work they are g...

I've tried the laptop with an ultralite in the shop today with out any problems. So I've decided to swap the USB for the Firewire version and fingers crossed I won't have any problems with it. I'm feeling pretty feed up about the 828 MKII USB made even worse today by getting the response from the Mo...

I've just bought a Motu 828 MKII USB and I'm having problems with Sonar hanging. I'm going to test my laptop with a firewire version at the weekend at the shop I bought the interface from at the weekend and see if I get the same problems. What software are you using? Is any one using the Motu 828 MK...

Here's a bit more info all the drivers are the latest, all the ins and outs show up correctly and there's no hub involved. I've also tested with the usb drivers on my podxt and they have worked fine with no problem for about 3 hours but with the Motu I don't seem to be able to get past about 20 minu...

I'm not sure it's the same problem that I'm seeing I get the dancing meters at random points even when there's nothing happening on the laptop. I think it might be due to the firewire chipset problem that people have reported. I've been looking for a pcmcia firewire card with the TI chipset but I'm ...

Hi thanks for that but I've run both the updates and I've still having problems. At random points I get distorted audio for a second or two and then goes back to normal. On the mixer on the unit I see all the output channels dance for the period of the dsitortion. This seems to happen at what ever s...
