Re: 828 MKII gets stuck starting up
Sounds like the firewire IC (Texas Instruments TSB41AB2) may have been bad. From what I can tell it has a clock output that goes into the Altera FPGA (and perhaps elsewhere). When that clock isn't there none of the front panel controls and LED's are "scanned".

Re: Where can I find very old (Tiger) drivers for 828mkII?
Mike - I took your suggestion to contact MOTU customer service and emailed them asking for the latest driver that supports Tiger. I just heard back from them (at most 5 minutes after I submitted the email) with a link to the driver. Thanks again for the suggestion and kudos to MOTU for such a fast r...

Where can I find very old (Tiger) drivers for 828mkII?

I will eventually update it to OSX 10.5 (the latest OSX that still supports PowerPC based products) but until then I would like to use my 828mkII with it. My used 828mkII didn't come with any driver CD's and the drivers on the MOTU site d...

It also suggests using the bottom port when using a single 2408 so I am not sure if the idea is to leave it on the dif...

How do I select ASIO drivers?
I just installed a PCI-324 sound card and everything seems to be working so far (though the latency is on the high side), the driver shows up as WDM.
I have heard that ASIO is the better way to go. How do I actually go about selecting the ASIO driver?
