yes you can definatley. i use an Ultralite macbook combo with both Audiodesk and Tracktion 2 (although tracktion is running in rosetta mode). hardware compatibilty is perfect. hto swapable, plays itunes audio SO nicely, and every is jsuyt smart as far as internal audio taking over when i disconnect ...

ive been getting a solid streams of complaint about lacie porche drives. they have been at the root of several probals across different daw setups. also, they crap out in normal circumstances all too often. i would in the future stay away from them, or if you can, return the drive.

thats whats great about even the lowest price macbooks. 6 pin firewire. ultralite works great with my macbook. i even chain it through my external firewiredrive, and occasionaly, i even plug my ipod into the ultralite for a total of 3 devices. works beautifully.

i have my ultralite --> firewire --> macbook. no problems. however, i record to y internhardrive so im not testing out the full scenario.

well, i have a 13 in macbook 2ghz and its silent for the most part. for the money, this is a fantastic machine for its size/weight/resolution. so far, working out well with tracktion 2 and the ultralite.

why isnt htis working for me... I assign the headphone mix as 3/4 but get nothing.... anybody having issues with ultralit/cuemix and phones?

well, i can boot windows XP natively on macbooks now - and i can jsut use the regular windows version of tracktion, so i suppose thats a stopgap soultion to using that hardware combination. ??

will the Ultralite work with Tracktion 2?

i'm currently running T2 on an old powerbook g4 1ghz, but I'm about to get an intel Macbook 2ghz. does anybody here know if I can safely use the Ultralite with this new proposed setup (intel macbook + tracktion 2)?
