Re: TapeOp editorial re: leaving Mac for Windows
I wouldn't want to chance my arm with a PC Including external Sonnet Chassis for my RME madi card and a lot of software updates my present trash can mac cost me about £4700, which is a lot of money but it's a monster; handles high track counts at 96k with a lot of good plugs. It gets used day in day...

Re: Inserting Time
I found it. "Move Selection to End" did the trick. Easy! Thanks Same thing but maybe a little quicker: Sorry for stating the obvious with a lot of the hot keys but not everyone will know these. Open 'Snap Information' (shift+ctrl+G) in the side panel. In the 'nudge' drop down select what ...

Re: What happened to "run-in-real-time plug-in preference???
No...I'm hitting record manually, waiting a second, and then hitting a note and the pedal-on, which since the beginning of time (or at least pianos!) has triggered a sustain. I will report the bug to MOTU, but it looks like, thanks to the last post, someone else besides me is seeing this same probl...

Re: DP 9.1 is here

Re: DP 9.1 is here
Maybe someone can confirm this as a bug or not. When the transport is running, hitting the numeric 4 key used to go in reverse until you stopped holding it. Now it creates a little burp in the timing and the transport immediately continues forward. I used that fairly often in cueing and editing on ...

Re: DP 9.1 is here
After I insert a plugin in the post fader insert slot, there appears a distinct sound degradation. Please advise. Confirmed. This may also explain why so many previous projects of mine are glitchy. I've never run plug-in inserts post-fader. Can you explain why you would want to do this? To ride a v...

Re: Big mix too hot
Isolate which tracks are causing the clipping and use AOM invisible limiter. http://aom-factory.jp/products/invisible-limiter/ This is certainly the most invisible limiter I have used and (like any limiter) much better deployed on individual offending tracks rather than a bus. Take note though, that...

Re: Transfer RADAR session to Digital Performer.
Well, I’m back to square one. The above link is for RADARs after the “24”. However, even the iZ Technology website claims that the RADAR 24 records in broadcast wave (.BWAV). Upon opening my disk I see that my files are saved as .SND which is a Unix code which brings us back to the beginning where ...
