I run 5.1 on a Mac Mini 1.66 GHz 1 GB, M-Audio Firewire Solo. I have only had a problem with my Waves Native Power Pack which was solved by getting a new authorization from Waves. I honestly don't know how to help

5.1 and 10.4.8 worked for me, BUT the 10.4.8 destroyed my m-audio drivers. I had to revert to 10.4.5 (original disk for Mac Mini Intel Core Duo). Once I reinstalled the drivers (and several other things that went wonky) it works fine.

I have 5.1 Mac Mini Intel Core Duo 1.66 MHz with M-Audio Firewire Solo and Oxygen 8 (original). 10.4.8 blew my m-audio drivers. I had to reinstall 10.4.5 (came with Mac Mini). DP 5.1 ran fine just no audio in or out from the M-Audio.

Yes, I timidly trased 4.52 and ran 5.1, tested it, it works. So I am going to erase 4.61.

Too many iterations of MOTU

I purchased 4.52, updated to 4.61 and now to 5.2. Each of these has folders. Can I remove the older ones safely. If so, how.

Atmosphere

Atmosphere needs quite a CPU and much memory. So I think the problem though unstated is Atmosphere doesn't work due to lack of processing power.
