+1000! Pacific Pro is a great place to shop. Garth is a wonderful

Re: Guitar Center, how long can they last?

Thankfully there are still a few "mom and pop" stores here in the Seattle area that provide good service and value. While the inventory isn't as plentiful in these places as Guitar Center's it is, as a rule, more geared towards seasoned working musicians and (mostly) staffed with informed ...

Re: Bad day in the studio (OT)

I have to chime in as Devil's advocate on this. I've spent a good portion of my life in performing bands as a "gun-for-hire-sideman", and as such wanted to voice that not all bands are democratic unions. The key operative phrase in discussing this may be "the band leader". You ma...

Re: UAD: Lexicon 224

This is the reverb I've been waiting for since the UAD platform came out. Provided it's at the same level of quality as their other offerings it may indeed be the last tool I need to complete my set up.
I'm delighted.
For me it signals the end of a 40 year long affair with gear lust.

Re: What's the best USB Stereo mic for the money?

I wish the guy doing the demo had been a bit more detailed in his mic placement. The position of the AT vs. that of the Yeti has to account for at least some of the difference. I'd g as far as to say the relative thinness of the AT is what you'd expect positioned as it is.

Nice product. Look to be only $129 USD. Would love to hear user feedback on software and compatibility in the real world before buying though.

I've become fixated on this vocal performance. The level of control and expression reduces me to tears.

Re: Calling all guitarists

I must admit this is a surprise - never knew Fender did a Tele like this. Wonder if this was done as a custom job or stock? It's stock. If you google "98 american deluxe three tele" some info pops up. They are fairly rare as they were only made for a short time. Here's a link to a picture...

Re: Calling all guitarists

I'd like to have a Tele with the back relieved/beveled like the Strats then I'd be back in that game. I was just given a 98 American Deluxe Tele as a gift. It's crimson over ash with front edge white binding and a contoured back like a strat. Rosewood fretboard with abalone dots, and it's the rarer...
