300$ good price for Motu 24i???
I saw an add for a used Motu 24i (NOT THE I/O) for 300 bucks. Is this a good price?? I looked on line... but could only find quotes for the 24 I/O. Also....I have a 2408 MkII.....can't I just route what ever tracks I want to its outputs if I needed?? Why would you need 24 outputs anyway....what are ...

My G4 733 Quicksilver 733mhz processor went bad recently. I have seen an 867 G4 processor on ebay for cheap. Can I simply swap them or are they not compatable.

Also....it's not the processor thats 500.... the processor is around 250....it's another 200 to configure the machine for the sonnet 1.6 processor... according to the Mac store in LA. Also... Thanx everyone...I'm suprised DP is Mac only...I thought all the major Recording programs were supported on both platforms....I guess I'll be sticking with the Mac... Is $1500 a good deal on a Dual G5 (2.0)??

G4 733 busted.....Buy a PC??
Hey everyone, the processor on my G4 733 just went out and will be $500 to fix and upgrade the processor to a G4 1.3. I only use this computer for recording and I've been a MAC user since I've owned a computer. I am wary to try DP on a PC.....however I am told I can buy a kick ass PC for around 600 ...

Lots of ideas
First...Thanx for all the input everyone, I appreciate it. So from what I gather, SampleTankXL will run on my system, so thats an option. I also liked the idea of using a separate computer for the virtual instruments. (Ive been thinking of picking up a new laptop anyway) My question then is...how do...

Soft synths for DP 3??
I run DP 3 in OS 9 on a Mac 733 G4. I'm looking for the best way to get a huge library of sounds. My dilema is that I would preferably like to have somthing like Giga sounds or Sample Tank...but I don't know if this current software is compatible with my older version of DP3 and OS 9. If it isn't......

Questions about DP 3.0 on OS 9
I have a few questions??....and I'll prioritize them to make this easy. I run DP3 on OS 9.somthing. I do this becauseI like OS 9 better than OSX (it seems faster) and I'm too poor/cheap to upgrade. I record primarily live audio, but often track MIDI drums using a TD-10, a MOTU2408 and a Midiman hook...
