Here's what I've done by editing the xml file.

I just changed the infor bar background to a nice med gray makes the info panes jump out and takes some of the curse off the whole window

I just bounced a 1 hour TV show to disk, in fact I've done two different versons and no problems. I also mastered a 14 song CD and burned to CD and that went well too. I had a problem like that in 5.13 and it seemed to be more connected to Core Audio. I would have problems with all core audio format...
