Re: Setting up an all-wireless home network connection Mac-PC.
Hey FMiguelez, I do exactly this with an airport router and an attached airport disc. I'm able to 'stream' aif music files, to multiple machines, both wired and wireless, mac and pc. Best results will be using all wireless 'n' devices. G will be fine if you're only 'streaming' mp3's....(yuck...) Be ...

Re: A Shocking Gig...
lol... change the air in his head, no doubt. There will be no next time... Not with this band anyway. Too much stress and friction. As I said about this summing up the way it's been playing with these guys... The bass player does something stupid, and it ends up affecting me / the rest of the band. ...

Re: A Shocking Gig...
Yeah.. glad I'm around to complain about it.... This was a newer pub in a strip mall type building. The amp has worked elsewhere... For sure was a three wire connection out of the amp. Something must be wrong with that bass amp's ground to not be blowing breakers. Hey the power checker is a great id...

Re: A Shocking Gig...
Well we have part of the answer.... I think I'll change the thread title to ... how working with idiots almost killed me. Turns out the bass player wired himself a new plug on the end of his bass amp. "Black was always ground on my car stereo" ....OMFG.... yes, you guessed it, black to gro...

A Shocking Gig...
Hey All, Been a while since I've been 'round... I hope everyone is well ;) My band played on the weekend. Everything was fine, powerwise during soundcheck and Set 1. We're ready to begin set 2 and oh-oh... bass player's amp has no power. Try different outlet.. dead.. no inline fuse... ok, we'll run ...

Hey Gavspen, sorry to hear it was terminal for the old mac. Not to state the obvious, but don't forget you'll need the newer pcie card from motu as well...(unless your firewire based, of course...) I believe the g5's are pci only... Good luck with the upgrade, once you're up and running, you'll dig ...

Hey MM, stupid, random thought here... I wonder if popping the drive into an external case, usb-sata, would help at all. I'm just thinking on an off chance it might change something, and let you access the disc.... I wouldn't spend money on a case though... unless, you might want an extra external f...

Hey all, ok, I'll add my bitch.... the o/p was 'guns blazin', no doubt... but I'm kinda shocked the the warranty, as in what's on paper, is less than digi,m,etc... However, I too have been treated very well regarding a pci card issue in my old machine. So really, I don't have a bitch about this eith...

Hey Gavin, That's a drag... do let us know the results after Sears has your G5 up on the hoist and can (hopefully) diagnose this issue for you. Be sure they check the front end as well... you'd hate to fix that, and then have a major suspension failure. ok... seriously, I hope they get this fixed up...
