Re: The Raven MTi2 Thread
I had forgotten about this thread and decided to revisit. I'm still enjoying my Raven but I barely use it with DP. Too many bugs at this point, things are just not reliable and it honestly slows me down, so I know where you're coming from on this Jim. I've also been having random issues with DP9 its...

Re: DP 9's CPU meter is in Red with 93% idle activity
I've come to the conclusion that DP9 is just a resource hog. And in terms of using UAD-2 stuff to help out -- it doesn't. I have project with reasonably low track counts (like 12-14 tracks, no VIs at all) that use nothing but UAD plugins and I still see my CPU meter spike out constantly. And I DO g...

Re: The Raven MTi2 Thread
Killahurts, with DP they do recommend that some controls be accessed via mouse, because they're just to small. It's not major list. BTW, the calibration problem was the result of several reinstalls early on. It doesn't lose calibration or drift. I need to recalibrate on each reinstall because of so...

Yes, almost certainly this is the case. As I stated in the post above, working as a Mac Technologist we remove Mackeeper as policy.David Polich wrote:MacKeeper is 100% Malware, I'm convinced.

Re: DP 9's CPU meter is in Red with 93% idle activity
I see the same kind of CPU usage and I most certainly have no Mackeeper installed (I am a mac tech at a college and spend many days removing this from student laptops!). I've tried a large number of solutions and nothing really helps. I've come to the conclusion that DP9 is just a resource hog. And ...

Re: DP 9.0.1: erratic CPU/Processing behaviour
The problem still exists in 9.0.2. Consistently a lot more CPU usage than DP 8 or older on identical projects. And as a matter of fact 9.0.2 has introduced a TON more issues for me. There were a good number of projects (started in 8 or older) that I could no longer even properly open, it was failing...

Re: DP 9.0.1: erratic CPU/Processing behaviour
Never had this problem, but check my signature… Hope you can quickly sort it out. One thought: did you start your template in DP9 or back in 8? Try a fresh project, started in 9 from scratch… same problems? Fresh projects started in DP9. I can reproduce this in all cases I've tried, pretty m...

Re: DP 9.0.1: erratic CPU/Processing behaviour
No one else seeing this sort of stuff? Just for fun I opened the exact same project in DP8 and it uses like 1/4 of the processing or less than DP9, so there's definitely something funky going on. I could work with half the buffer with no issue. Closed it and went back to DP9 and had to double the bu...

Re: DP 9.0.1: erratic CPU/Processing behaviour
At higher buffer settings the usage drops some, but doesn't go away, it still jumps around. If I go to a 1024 or higher then it's usable (in terms that it doesn't overload during a mix), but that still doesn't resolve the issue that it's using up a whole bunch of processing while it's sitting doing ...

Re: DP 9.0.1: erratic CPU/Processing behaviour
I've looked at both and no help. DP seems to only be using up a small amount of CPU (35% or so) but the processing meter jumps around like a rabbit. Does anyone know if Digital Performer logs it's own output somewhere? There was nothing in the main system logs that gave any kind of clue as to what w...

DP 9.0.1: erratic CPU/Processing behaviour
Hi everyone. I did a bit of quick searching but didn't find anything useful about this. Since going to DP9 I've been having some very erratic behaviour with the CPU/Processing. I took a quick video of what is happening .. this happens on quite a few projects (all new ones made in DP9). From what I c...

Re: The Raven MTi2 Thread
Not to tell any tales out of school, but I have it on good authority that the next maintenance update should be out next week sometime. This will fix the inconsistencies in the Raven Mixer. Good to know. I'm loving my MTi2 so far, but have noticed a few mixer glitches and it will be good to have at...

Thanks Jim. I posted on their forums too. Good to know about the liquid. I will tell them that too once I can login.
