I am having the same problem with using a Fastlane with my usb hub. I have a belkin 4-port external powered usb hub, but no MIDI input whatsoever shows up in the computer. MIDI out seems to be working just fine. I also tried my friend's iogear, same thing. I thought it suppose to work with any stand...
