Re: New Mac Pro coming this year is mind-blowing.
I already have TB system and for me this new MP is just fantastic release. Just what I was hoping for.. even it doesn't (yet) look like a computer.

Re: Apple Thunderbolt to FW 800 Adapter
With normal FW800 connection Macs I haven't had any problems using 2-3 chained Lacie ruggeds. But with TB it's impossible to use chaining.NazRat wrote:IMHO chaining bus powered FW drives is courting disaster.

Re: Apple Thunderbolt to FW 800 Adapter
No problems here with rMBP. Only I can't chain as many bus powered hd's with Thunderbolt as with normal FW800 connection.

Re: DP 8.01 OMFs and bwav file errors in PT sessions
... This has caused not only embarrassment but now substantial additional expense for the producer and is leading me to consider moving to PT just to have the compatibility be correct. ... Sadly this is exactly what I've been thinking lately. DP 8's OMF has real problems that were fine in 7.xx. I'v...

Re: LONG saving times...
I'm also having this problem sometimes. Big projects with multiple chunks. I have noticed that if DP crashes after you have created files, those files keep hanging to corrupt save process (somewhere in undo history or something). When you start DP after crash and it will ask you to use those files c...

That is so true. This really isn't the first time when I'm using older version for importing.MIDI Life Crisis wrote:It's a funny thing, but DP has always had issues with OMFs and AAFs in the past. It's been kind of hit and miss. One might work and the other wouldn't. Some OMFs work, others, not.

Re: DP8 Video Handling (or lack of it)
My rMBP is clearly s n a p p i e r than before. It wasn't bad with 8.0 either.
Even my older laptop (i7 mid-10) is usable now with 8.01/picture (still not as smooth as with 7.24).

Re: DP 8.01 is released!
OMF bug (from FCP) is still there. Do you know if they were exported as computed regions or as OMF effects? I've found that computed regions are more reliable, especially when you have crossfades. I'm not sure, but I never had any problems with 7.24. I have open tech link and they are trying to fix...

Re: DP 8.01 is released!
OMF bug (from FCP) is still there. Volume curves are not imported right.
Those parts (in the picture) where volume curves are hidden, DP plays audio +6dB. Same OMFs are imported right with 7.24

Re: DP8 Meters while Bouncing To Disk?
In my DP8 plugin windows are showing meters just like in DP 7.24 while bouncing (eg. Waves PAZ Analyzer/WLM). But there's no life in Meter Bridge.Allen Wrench wrote:I noticed in DP8, meters on the Meter Bridge or in any plug ins seem to no longer run during the Bounce process.

My good old 828mkII is connected to rMBP via Thunderbolt-Firewire800 adapter (thru Lacie Rugged FW400/800hd). Working great.

Re: Spinning wheel problem, DP 7.24
It could by the same problem which I have sometimes. My problem is related to save/auto save. After I have recorded a long track and DP auto saves, saving can last very long time. But this doesn't happen very often. Save your Activity Monitor's Sample Process (DP) next time this happens. Send those ...

Re: I'm now using VideoSlave to host video instead of DP, wh
Just tested the demo version. Very impressive and easy to use. About video scrubbing, does it really work via network MIDI? It didn't work for me.
