Re: Waves plugins crashing DP 10.1

First, I notice I need to update my tag line?!!? I think I have isolated the problem. MacOS 10.14.6 (18G2022). So with DP 10.1 and Waves 10 plugins closing the plugins dialog always crashes my system. Waves version 11 plugins do not crash. Is anyone else on a similar system to confirm? Christopher C...

Re: Waves plugins crashing DP 10.1

Yes I meant to say CLA-76 not 73... So... I have taken to reinstalling DP, reinstalling Waves, deleting plists etc yet the problem remains. Here's a little clip of it crashing with VEQ. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ukcjp2kl6w46d7u/dp%20crashing%20480.mov?dl=0 I have removed that plugin and put it back ...

Waves plugins crashing DP 10.1

I have an unfortunate problem - wondering if others do too. I've support requests in for both Waves and Motu (although I see I still have support links open from MOTU from 2014.... so... maybe not holding my breath). Each time I close most Waves plug in dialog boxes in DP it crashes. The L3 limiter ...

Audio Performance monitor in Windows

Hi all,

I've just installed a copy of DP 8.06 on a PC laptop that I have. The audio performance meter is shadowed out. Does this monitor not exist in the PC version?

Re: The DP 8.06 Bug Report Thread

Not sure if this is a DP 8.06 bug or not… the first MIDI note of a MIDI looped part doesn't play. It is being sent to Mach 5 III sampler in a V-rack. It just misses it and then plays the second one (when playing in a loop). Of course it plays if I start the sequence from the beginning (bar 1) but d...

Sluggish behaviour

Hey friends, It's been a while since I've posted. I'm wondering if someone can shed some light on some stranger behaviour I have noticed recently. I'm running 8.01 in 64 bit mode. Two instances of Mach V III, Slate digital drums, couple amplifier plugins, but really nothing major. My machine is list...

Re: DP 8.1 Wishlist

Not to be one of those people... but this PT 11 separation of input and output buffers so you can record at super low latency live instruments (32 or 64) but keep the output buffers really high (2048 or higher...) for the rest of the non-live instruments is pretty brilliant. If DP did this... we cou...

Re: UA announces new UAD plugs!

Yippee. Color me non-plussed as an owner of a MacPro that can't boot into the 64-bit kernel. I now sort of don't pay much attention to UAD announcements. Maybe when I get a new Mac I can be more enthused. :( Yes James you can run your Mac Pro as a Hackintosh (possibly with a video card upgrade) to ...

SSD drive value

Hey folks, I'm looking for way to optimize my setup. I also hear my main drive - which worries me that it may be on it's last leg. My current setup is 1 TB main drive, 500gig audio recording drive, 500gig samples drive. So I was thinking of changing things up to to be 750gig Seagate Momentus XT driv...

Re: DP 8.1 Wishlist

 I would like Full plug-in latency compensation on AUX tracks. When doing paralell bus work, there can be phasing problems between the direct out of the audio tracks and the AUX send bussed signal with inserted plug-ins on the AUX master. This seem to be a problem in most DAWs as the AUX is n...

Re: Copying MIDI between chunks

Hey hey hey. That's awesome. Mine way worked too but I like that way as well. I always wondered why you could display different Chunks in the various windows different than the Play enabled chunk. Now it makes sense.

Copying MIDI between chunks

Hi people, Does anyone know of the simplest way to copy MIDI between chunks? I use the clipping board for most else but that results in MIDI not being lined up. Part of my difficulty, I guess is that I don't have any MIDI notes at the beginning of the track so pasting pastes into the wrong location ...

Re: DP8 processor usage with 8-cores, meter vs meter

Hey there,

I don't have DP8 yet to compare. I will have to take a look when I have it.

About running in 64 bit mode - apparently it is doable but involves transforming your Mac into a Hackinstosh - which may still be legal under the license agreement given that you are using Apple Hardware.
