Re: Bouncing Meters!
A few MOTU eqs, plate reverb, MW compressor. Yes, still on 10.13.2. .6 OS or DP? And this started several weeks ago in a sequence with no plugins and only 5 audio tracks.

Bouncing Meters!
On playback the meters in DP 8.07 bounce continually, in all windows, into the red, not in sync with any tracks playing. WTH? Anyone else encounter this?

Re: Future of DP?
James, If you put a like button on each post there would be a lot less posts in these threads. Yeah, I know, more work for the same pay! But some of these guys are hilarious and I'd just like to let them know without bloating the thread... Still, this is the best group on the internet, hands or pant...

Re: MOTU 828 Mkii Firewire and Mac High Sierra
After that scare, I restarted and everything came up normal. Still not sure what that combination of lights was trying to tell me.

Re: MOTU 828 Mkii Firewire and Mac High Sierra
Wow! The way the lights are flashing on your 828 does not look right. Of course, the lights don't flash on mine at all anymore until it has finished connecting to my Mac and then it just has the clock light at 44.1. I noticed you're still on Yosemite. Can you upgrade to the latest OS? 10.13.2? That ...

Re: MOTU 828 Mkii Firewire and Mac High Sierra
It takes a few minutes for mine to show up in the Audio Setup app, and I occasionally have to restart to get both of my units to show up. Have you tried a different cable? Just to rule out a bad cable. It is frustrating when it doesn’t work.

Re: MOTU 828 Mkii Firewire and Mac High Sierra
Yes, if you mean the MOTU Audio Setup application. Which firewire MOTU interface do you have. 828MKII? or a newer one?

Re: MOTU 828 Mkii Firewire and Mac High Sierra
If you mean MOTU Audio Setup, try starting it first, and then turning on your interface. I have to use a FW 400 to FW 800 cable and then a FW 800 to Thunderbolt adapter to connect my older 828MKII and my 8Pre. Hope this helps.

Re: MOTU 828 Mkii Firewire and Mac High Sierra
Well, now that I’ve done the 10.13.2 Supplemental Update, it’s doing it again. Restarted, but that didn’t seem to help. And MOTU Audio Setup only sees my units if I start it first. It doesn’t open if I start my 8pre and 828 first. And I usually have to restart my units a couple of times before Audio...

Re: MOTU 828 Mkii Firewire and Mac High Sierra
Howdy all, I upgraded(?) to OS 10.13.2 and was asked to activate DP each time I opened it up until today when it wouldn't open and then neither would MOTU Audio Setup. Restarted and everything is working fine now. I'm running an 828mkII with an 8Pre FW. The 8Pre is master because the 828 hasn't been...

Just Getting Back To DP!
Wow! First time back in a long time, it sure is good to see familiar names and avatars still here! Anyway, I've spent the last 4 years selling a house, moving into another one, (while remodeling) and retired from the Postal Service. I also left a musical business arrangement after almost 40 years. W...
