Re: So glad I use a laser mouse...
Those women have to be dumb as rocks to not realize that it's a put on. I mean when they get to the point that "the domestic mouse balls are harder and larger than the foreign mouse balls" and still don't get it... well... they're just really, really dumb or it's a put on. Yipes! My mothe...

Re: A strange experience this evening
...My gut tells me he's not a good guy... Quite a few years back I was in this band. The bass player was married with child and his wife became good friends with my wife. There was just something about this guy that bothered me. I couldn't put my finger on it but my gut kept telling me to keep my d...

Re: A strange experience this evening
Sometimes heeding that gut feeling that something is "off" about a person has made me feel that I've been too judgmental. But the times when I have not heeded that feeling have generally been the times I've been burned. Trusting your instincts is not the same thing as uncharitably prejudg...

Re: New UltraLite mk III Hybrid is a dual USB/Firewire interface
I like the hybrid concept, would firewire 800 offer more "long term" compatibility? You can use a simple 800-to-400 adapter or cable to connect the unit to a FW800 bus. It doesn't look like the unit has enough I/O to use more bandwidth than FW400 provides, so a FW800 port would be overkil...

Re: perfect pitch lessons any good?
I want to improve my ability to hear musical parts, the notes and intervals. I have been thinking of buying a prefect pitch lesson package, are they worth trying? So far I have done it by playing and by playing intervals and notes and trying to hear how they sound, the old school way. As it is now ...

Re: Any metal fans watch the ANVIL documentary?
Not a metal fan here, but I like films about musicians and this is a good one. It has, at least temporarily, boosted their bookings by a huge margin (anvilmetal.com). With that schedule I guess they had to give up those fabulous day jobs! "c force 5" man, I hope all is well.... I h...

Re: A strange experience this evening
Nope... haven't seen him and he hasn't come back to do the yard work either. :D Well in the season and spirit of giving, if he does not come back to finnish what he agreed to do, count me in for $5 towards hiring somebody else to get the job done, if it needs to go that route. Considering all your ...

Any metal fans watch the ANVIL documentary?
I remember the album, "Metal on Metal" back in 83 (I think) when I was into heavy metal, but they just never resonated with me vocally...... I watched the recent documentary on them, how after 30 years of nothing, not getting the recognition (after sharing stadiums with whitesnake, bon jov...

Re: Headin' to New Orleans!
Don't flaunt your "bling"..... You know, that advice applies everywhere. Just because this particular episode happened in New Orleans doesn't mean it's a bad place. That can happen anywhere. N.O. is definitely a place to be savored. Don't try to rush through the place. See and do fewer th...

Re: Headin' to New Orleans!
Don't flaunt your "bling"..... In college, an acquaintance was in a bar, and pulled out money to pay his bar bill. Not being street smart, he did not know to keep most of the money tucked away, and only show small amounts. He woke up a few days later with a concussion, broken eye socket, a...

Re: Tons of problems with Machfive v.2 PLEASE HELP (if you can)
You know, a lot of people think I'm in this business because I want to be a big swinging star with booze and broads. It's not true. What I really want to do is work hard and pay my dues and save up my money to buy a piece of property. You know, a nice piece of bottom land. I want to be a farmer. I'...
