Motu Traveler mkI and Yamaha 01v96v2 VCM

Hi guys! I'd like to expand my Yamaha 01v96 with 8 in- and 8 out-channels using the Motu Traveler mkI. FOr this I have connected the 01v96 with the Traveler using 2 optical cables (=ADAT). In Cuemix I have set up the 4 busses as following: Bus 1: analog-in1 (panorama L) + an-in2 (panR) Bus 2: an-in3...

896HD won't save Cuemix settings after reboot

Hi! I have 2 896HDs. One saves the settings I make with Cuemix, the other doesn't. For example, when I set a certain input to be routed to a certain output, these settings will be saved on one 896HD so that I can use it standalone while the other 896HD doesn't. I've found out that settings like &quo...

Repair trim potentiometer on one channel for myself?

Hi guys, this is not a Windows but a Motu problem, but unfortunately there is no "hardware only" board, so I'll try here. I have a problem with my 896HD, and after explaining it to our Motu distributor they told me that the trim potentiometer has to be changed. No I wonder if I could do th...

Re: How to tell a 896HD which wordlock to take?

I'm sorry, it seems I was not clear enough. I know that only one 896HD can be the clock source, but I want the second unit to check for the clock source via BNC connection, and not through the firewire cable.

How to connect two Motus via ADAT?

Hi folks! I've read many posts in this forum, but I still don't get my two Motus working together. I have two 896HD, the first one is connected to my PC via firewire, the second one is connected to the first one via ADAT. The SPDIF cable is connected to "ADAT Out" on 896HD #2 and to "...

Motu 896HD on Windows 7 RC - driver won't install

Hi! I've downloaded the Windows 7 RC as I've read of many Motu users that use the new Windows successfully with their Motus. I've installed the latest Motu 64-bit driver and the powered on the 896HD to get the drivers installed on the system. And that's the problem: Windows begins by saying that &qu...

2x 896HD on Vista 64 won't synchronize

Hi folks! I use Vista 64 for a while now and have always worked with one 896HD only and without problems. Yesterday I wanted to check my DAW including the 2 896HD I own and I noticed that the 896HD will synchronize but only for a few seconds, then the synchronization process (blinking LEDs on both) ...

I need to use also the 8pre's outputs, so the ADAT solution will not work for me.

Hi!

Ok, SP1 is the solution but a not acceptable one. Who has a computer with SP1 on it? Nearly nobody, I suppose. And I will not re-install my computer and any applications just because Motu isn't able to prepare a working driver for this unit.

How to Word-Clock correctly?

Hi! I have an 896HD and a Traveler and want to sync them via Word Clock though they are already daisy-chained, but I hope WC would be more stable. I have connected the 896HD's WC-Out with the Traveler's WC-In, that should be right, shouldn't it? But what do I set in the driver? I can choose "89...

Here's the "solution":
the 8pre unfortunately at this time won't work together with ohter Motu interfaces. That's what I could find out together with some other 8pre users. We've informed Motu about this problem and hope to get a real solution soon.

Greetings from Italy
