I'm having the same issue with my 896mk3, and just on input channels 1-2.

Changing to 3-4 sounds just fine... Did you find the reason why? I'm trying not to loose the option of using that pair as a hardware insert.

Thanks a lot James for the response. Unfortunately, no firmware update for my old 8pre firewire BUT new version 11.1 solved all my problems. I can use both audio interfaces like I used to. I hope detroitdiesel is on the same boat as me!
