Re: spdif clock/audio tempo

thank you all for the helpful insights. i suspected this might be the problem. the DAT tape has no accompanying notes to tell me what frequency it was recorded at ( my fault, of course) i will try at 48 and get back to you guys.
my best to you all.

spdif clock/audio tempo

Hi nation - hope all is well. Love DP. M dilemma: I am packing up my studio for a move and came across old DAT tape with mixes I wanted to record into DP for re-mastering and digital archiving. Put DP into spidif clock mode to record from DAT machine into DP. The tempo playback in DP and stereo mix ...

Re: Unexpted end of file error -39

Hey Sorry to hear about your -39 error. i too recently got this error after upgrading to DP7.0. unfortunately i could not find a way to fix or retrieve the file. i backup after every session which meant, at worst, i would only lose 1 sessions worth of work. since that can be considerable i've since ...

Re: Dp7.0 and Vocalign

"at least you got a reply from them - and an honest one! " yes - i was very pleased that they responded so quickly. I do love my vocalign - i do lots of vocals and find an invaluable tool. "Are all the audio edit functions in DP7 working ok? " all edit functions seem to work ok -...

Re: Dp7.0 and Vocalign

I know, it probably seems a little creepy that i keep replying to my own posts but i thought the following might set us all to thinking about MOTU, Synchroarts and how they go about their biz. I emailed Synchroarts to see if i needed an upgrade from Vocalign project vs. 2.9 for DP7.0 and got the fol...

Re: Dp7.0, Vocalign

final thought for DP7.0, day one. not one crash! Dp7.0 very stable for me - more so than 6.02. can deal with quirky vocalign. new guitar plugs seem cool though didn't spend too much time fooling around with them. saving takes a little longer than in 6.02 very auspicious beginning - so glad i went fo...

Re: Dp7.0 and Vocalign - update

i can get vocalign to work although only by selecting audio within soundbites. the past i would make the dub file have the same length as the guide file (by dragging the beginning and end of file) before aligning. this process seemed to produce the best results. vocalign is quirky in DP7 but at leas...

Dp7.0 and Vocalign

Just loaded Dp7.0 and all seemed great until i tried some aligning..I use vocalign project 2.9 which worked fine in DP6.02 but isn't happy with Dp7.0 vocalign has become an essential part of my process. i'm sure there will be a fix, hopefully sooner than later. otherwise, first impressions of DP7.0 ...

DP7 and PPC Quad, Mac OS 10.5.8

Re: mac os error: unexpected end of file (-39)

I too was a little suprised that DP could not handle the size of my file. i have to say though that the diagnosis was by no means definitive. it was a speculation on MOTU tech's part - i really still don't know why i got that error message 2x on 2 subsequent sessions. i wanted to get working again, ...

Re: mac os error: unexpected end of file (-39)

ok - got MOTU tech on phone yesterday afternoon - on the first try no less! Mike helped me resolve my problem 9or at least get me back to moving forward on my project). apparently my project had gotten too big for DP - 40 tracks audio 88/24. 10 MIDI tracks..no VIs. we created a new project and loade...

mac os error: unexpected end of file (-39)

last two sessions subsequent to crashes i get this awful message and can't re-open my file. just upgraded to 10.5.8, by the way. crashes occur during editing (pitch and MIDI). any ideas - worst case i get set back a day a far as work goes - i always back up sessions - but moving forward can't abide ...
