My experience was that AIFFs don't compress much- so I haven't even tried to compress one lately. I'll be surprised if you can get much compression. Also, I've had issues with anything over ~4MB getting through email systems. Maybe that's changed lately too. I've used http://pipebytes.com/ to send l...

Load of V-Racks Crashes DP - RESOLVED! :)
Well, after some more methodical debugging I found the issue (after about 10 tries). It turned out to be a VST Auto-tune applied to a track (thru VSTwrapper) in the project I was trying to load from. Apparently this isn't real stable. I swapped in the MAS version for the track and now loading from a...

Thanks for the tips guys! Unfortunately I'm still having crashes. Here are some updates... I had been loading the V-Rack from a full project with like 20 tracks plus many plug-ins. So I tried a small template project, and it gets to the load dialogue window quicker. I didn't have any crashes loading...

Load of V-Racks Crashes DP
I've been trying to start using V-racks for global reverbs and such, with the intent to have a standard setup that I can load into each new project. The problem is- most of the time when I try to load the V-rack from the "template" project it crashes DP before I get to the pop-up allowing ...

Not sure you're still looking...
I plan to use these guys (in Chicago) for some older Shure equipment repairs.

They seemed easy to work with on the phone anyway. They may be able to do the job for you.

Re: OS9 and DP 3.1 Love it!!
Have you all checked out this thread regarding optimizing OS X? Optimizing OS X... It sounds like this helped others... The article indicates that you can get equal to or better performance on OS X/DP4.5 as you're getting on OS 9/DP3. I'm getting ready to move to OS X and DP4.5 myself and am also ve...

Re: question about -10db and +4db
I'd recommend going to the Sweetwater Insync site to get a better understanding of +4dBu and -10dBV- they have a few good discussions on it. Go to the bottom of the page and do a search on dB or similar. I'll give ya my two cents... +4dBu represents a signal of 1.23v, while -10dBV is a 0.316v signal...

Re: Interesting Recording Problem, Please Help
A couple obvious things to check- I have no idea if they could cause what you're seing:
1. Sample Rate/Depth - Are you bouncing to 44.1KHz and 16 bit for your mixed down audio?
2. Stereo - The final mix audio needs to be in stereo (2 tracks).
(sorry if these are too obvious)
