Re: DP 7.23 NOT WORKING UNDER DAE
Thank you for your responses. DP does not work with the latest version of DAE. I will contact MOTU. Uninstalled and re-installed DP; still not working. Cannot use lower versions than PT9. I have older sessions recorded in DP that need remixing using the PT plug-ins. There is allot of track automatio...

DP 7.23 NOT WORKING UNDER DAE
Hi there, I have just upgraded to PT9 HD. This also installed new audio drivers. When I open DP under DAE and the track starts, a message reads "DP is not receiving a clock signal from the audio hardware". I also get the same message running under MAS. Audio MIDI menu is set to Digidesign ...

Re: DP 7 Problems on MacbookPro
Thanks for quick replies but it did not solve the issue. I followed the tech note on the MOTU website. Deleted the file Auth-DigitalPerformer 7 then repaired permissions. Additionally trashed the motu preference files under user/library/preferences. I ran DP with installation CD and entered the seri...

DP 7 Problems on MacbookPro
Hi there, DP 7 was working fine on my 2 old computer. I just bought a new MacbookPro. When I launch DP 7.1 I get the message "The authorization file has been installed correctly, you must be logged in to an account with administrative privileges to authorize DP". I have made sure that corr...

424 PCIe
I posted to the first page of this thread 23rd March 2007. After reading all 6 pages again it is clear that there are others like myself who have a faulty 424 card that does not seat correctly in the slot. However, not everyone has the same problem. I would advise that you go through the process of ...

Hi there My PCI 424e card was installed securely in slot 2 when it intermittently lost the electrical connection. If I undo the two thumb screws, remove the retaining plate and press the PCI card against the mother board, there is a gap under the L bracket. This should fit flush like the other PCI c...

PCI 424e card
Hi Brad Here are a couple of postings that explain the problem: The first card I ordered did not work at all. I then received a second card that worked for 2 months until recently when it broke down in the middle of a session! I removed the card many times and tried it in different slots where it wo...

PCI 424e card
The problem might be related to a batch of these cards. As mentioned before I had 3 of these cards and took one to the Apple store with my computer. The head tech put the card in his computer and had the same misalignment problem. He commented that he had seen a similar issue with another manufactur...

PCI 424e card
Frodo, it seems that you have not read many of the posts on this thread. Mark refers to my posts that explain a problem with the mechanical seating of the card.

Update on this issue
Hi Dave
MOTU would not admit there was a propblem with the cards. This is annoying to say the least because I spent so much time proving otherwise.
Let me know how your card fits in the Mac
Best regards

I have wasted many hours trying to get my system back up and running. At first I thought it was a conflict with the 410 interface. I have checked the 2408 USB cable by using it on my old PCI424 card in my G4. It works perfectly. I have also switched the PCIe card into different slots as directed by...

424 PCIe
Hey there, I'm working for two different composers and they are both using PCIe-424 and 2480's. For the first composer, we had to get three different cards before making it work. It's pretty stable now, but from now and then, when restarting the computer, we have to restart a couple of times as wel...
